	Radio Silence Increase the size of your Attachments

This may be just a hunch, but I think that all of our public boasting about Arashi and all our attempts to tempt them into attacking Arashi and implying that they'd have considerable losses this turn played a part in their decision not to attack Arashi.
I think we're giving them way too much information. I suggest that we keep radio silence on the public forums and in IRC and such from now on. Regular silly comments (e.g. war chickens jokes) are fine, but nothing that could be related to distinct in-game events, ok?

Guys....I agree in principle, but the fact is, this could not have worked out better for us unless they had lost every unit they threw at Arashi.

They didn't attack....sure, we wanted them to, cos that's where we were the strongest, BUT.....we bought ourselves another turn, we lured a not-inconsiderable number of their immortals onto the flatlands where they are vulnerable, and we will be able to inflict punishment on them this turn without leaving ourselves vulnerable in the least.

I'd say, we've got them about where we want them.

Not exactly yet, to be sure, cos we still need more time for our production advantages to kick in, but we're getting there.

Here's an idea: do anything you want on the GoW front. Brag, don't brag, scare off others, don't scare off others, mention this or that. But say nothing about any Voxian casualties.
For this plan to work, Vox needs to suffer a lot of casualties this turn, which is very possible. Imagine their shock when they open their next turn and find out, without warning, that they're missing five or so immortals. Imagine the effect that this will have on them.

Mentioning nothing aboout Vox casualties would be good for shock purposes only, but I like it. However, we can't deliver a big enough shock, I guess.

One thing I was thinking about is saying something very subtle like "who says Vox is the only one on the offensive" or "True, our Eastern defenses are thin, but ther's a reason for that", something that makes them think those 2 galleys of ours are carrying some units. They will scramble to either attack our boats (meaning no reinforcements loaded), or protect their iron source, or think we don't have that much defenses in Arashi as it looks like and attack that city instead. Those 2 galleys are excellent PR material, if used wisely.

I still say we should say nothing at all, at most just a comment once GoW's horses are dead (since we already broadcast that they landed).

No PM's to Vox about why we did anything, no comments about what happened this turn to their units.

I wouldn't even do that. Let GoW initiate the public 'war'.

What are they going to say?

GF:"Shameles GS for killing our invasion fleet after we broke just about every deal we got going with you, how dare you!!!."

I say we sit this one out on defense. each time they trhow something, answer with one argument only. But keep repeating the first one mentioned.
Just don't trow all the cards on the table at once.

Sigh. I don't know... RP has been questioning the comment of Nathan of the renegade horsies, if there was nothing said before I would certainly agree. Now? I don't know...

Dealing with people is certainly a lot harder then working around the AI But that's also one of the most fun parts of PTW

As to commenting to Vox: sure, let's keep all info to us, and let others think what they want. The only thing we could accomplish is to let them believe we are invading them on our East coast, but if we don't say anything, we also create that impression.

One thing that bothers me is that GoW is going to receive a happiness bonus because we declare war, and we could receive a happiness hit because we do it. (not sure on that last part, as we only defend our own territory)

GoW won't be receiving any WW bonus unless they switch to Republic.
As for us - we might receive a WW penalty, but our overall WW value won't be higher than zero. So we might lose the bonus that we got from Vox and have to raise the lux slider to 20%, but nothing worse than this could happen. AFAIK.

Say nothing.

If we choose to align with one of the other teams, perhaps a private communication, but that's all.

If GoW pulls some bullsh*t stunt like Vox tried to, we send them a private warning to retract, or be exposed as was Vox.

Actions speak louder than words. The destruction of all invading forces will send the message that we want.
