If we get a mod, this thread will be topped. This is a thread to record any alliances you wish. Centralis has pointed out that we are not in the NS White Pages yet, and this will help whoever you choose to write something for it. Please post (or PM me) listing your alliance, member nations and any strings attached, and I will update this post. Please tell me if anything is incorrect.

You didn't. The Pacifist Alliance was the alliance I set up at the begining, that was open to everyone. The Defense of AI alliance is the one you were thinking of, which I did not include, since it is no longer needed (there is no threat to AI).

Is that an alliance? I presumed this would be a military thread, and free trade agreements would go in the initiatives thread. Nevertheless, I had forgotten that, and so it will be added to initiatives.

Well, I thought the Initiaves thread was mainly for agreements to try to develop something, as with the Cure for Cancer Project, the Apolyton Space Statino, and so forth, rather than standing agreements like the MAFTI.

Possibly. I had always though of this as a military thread, and that anything else would go in initiatives. Even standing issues would go under initiatives IMHO, such as free trade or environmental commitments.

RJ: What is it that concerns you about the In-Defence-of-AI Alliance? It is very unlikely to be called upon, but has never been formally repealed. Where it is active of not would be a matter of interpretation.

Sheep: Are they all yours? If so, wouldn't you assume there is an alliance?

I think I might have to make it only alliances bigger than 3 nations, otherwise they'll just be too many. What do people think?

CW: I propose we disband the In-Defence-of-AI-Alliance, since there seems to be no threat to AI, Neo-Tassadar is no longer with us, and we are the only two left. Moreover, we are already allies under the Pacifist Alliance.

Agreed, the IDoAIA has served it's purpose and is no longer needed.

I would say the ODSN is dead. Most of the members are no longer active in nationstates, and most likely dont exist anymore. Other nations that are still in it, have been split due to the sheepsta issue. Thus remove it , no one wants to be in it seems.

That does not matter. The Pacifist Alliance was simply a pledge from Akiria to defend any nation that asks from unprovoked aggression. It is hardly an alliance in that sense, but since it is required to be asked for, I put it here, so that people copuld sign up for it.

As such I have put both on it. Is that ok?

With regards to the Pacifist Alliance, Eternal Cold pledges to deploy troops to aid in the defense of fellow alliance members should they so request. (Rapid deployment may not be available to all members due to distance induced logistics considerations).

The Pacifist Alliance is closed to new members for the time being. Due to military excursions in Xzibit, we do not wish to undertake mroe than we can actually do. Also, for realism's sake, I think it should be restricted to nations somewhat near Akiria, so that we can defend them adequately.

The Sultanate of Celth wants to join the Pacifist alliance, but since it´s currently closed to new members Celth would appreciate at least being set upon the waiting list.
As for any other Alliance: Celth is a small Sultanate with almost no military forces. The aircraft carrier we maintain eats up any spending for defence.
I assume no other alliance is interested in having defenceless members...
