We do not only have to talk about risk! We must take the war to Nazi territory, make their citizens and soldiers bleed and have their cities destroyed. We need those convoys, and if their planes can't reach Murmansk that easily, we can open a large offensive against Finnland, and eventually crush them in a few more months We must unleash hell on the fascist.

Do not get ahead of yourself comrade. This offensive against Hammerfest will increase the cash flow so that we can drive our primary enemy, the fascist invaders, back. Their Finnish lackeys our of secondary concern compared to the German armies to the south, polluting Russian soil.

What's the plan with the first convoy Comrade Yopov? Are they headed for Murmansk or is Archangelsk a more prudent option, is there a danger of interception if we airlift them out of Murmansk? Is the road from Murmansk safe for our trucks?

There is no Airfeild in Archangel currently, that may have to become a priority soon..........

And Figu, yes the Finns are dangerous in the winter, but the Nazi's are even more dangerous in the summer. I think if Yop holds this winter, he should be in good shape vis-a-vis the Finns, though there is still the matter of the convoys.

Now, I must say that some people don't seem to understand that the Russian people can replace mountains if necessary!

We have to attack Hammersfest in the winter, and the Finnish in the summer, when their infantry hasn't got an advantage over our fine soldiers. It is true that the Finnish are our secondary enemy, but they are also considerably weaker and more easy to eradicate!

We must destroy our weakest enemy first, so that we can concentrate on the Germans afterwards (plus we get some producing Finnish cities as well)

Someone should post a poll since there have been a number of suggestions.

I would suggest striking at Hammerfest, since we can cause MAJOR disruption of the Nazis in Norway.

Then, we can sweep the Finns later.

Also, I want to highlight STYOM's suggestion for Yop.

I looked EVERYWHERE that had an airport or could get a unit to an airport in under one turn.

There are no flyable Red Guards anywhere that the Marshall could fly into Murmansk.

Its going to take two turns just to get into striking distance for Hammerfest.

So do the math: FEB, MARCH move.

APRIL assault.

You'll have two red guards to assault with. The one in the Fortification south and west of Murmansk and the one rush built in Murmansk this turn.

I tried, I even looked for a cossack and couldn't find one.
And your two near Murmansk are too beat up from the battle of Petsamo.

Just thought I would let you know. I guess we will find out how much nerve you have after this next turn. Good luck whatever you decide to do.

No, I will not send comrade yopov to the gulag if the attack does fail. Half of the appeal of this plan is that the price of failure is very low. Now if a large assault plan fails...

I think you are referring to the attack on Kholm
I must say you are right, we won't loose Murmansk if we do this attack <-> if we attack to early on other fronts, we might loose some cities and a lot of units

Those armored infantry help the Murmansk front's defensive effort quite a bit too. Although they may end up in leningrad since Leningrad did lose it's sea port which hurt production there badly.

Also, you lost a cruiser or destroyer, can't remember which right now in the far upper left corner of the map to a german submarine. you must be careful with that next convoy!

BTW Yopov if you are still taking a poll I say go for it.

Start with the two in or near Murmansk and follow it up with one from Kandalaksha. (He can reinforce if you are successfull.)

I still say its worth a try. Im still betting that city is lightly defended. You may even run into an odd Infantry coming your way leaving that city even less defended.

Thats how sure of himself the enemy is comrade.

(Thats what happened to me when I tried this in my last game.)

It appears the fearsome Finnish infantry has suffered a horrible setback, and are no where to be seen. I believe this is most likely the most secure of all the fronts. Good job comrade Yopovitch.

Not REconquering, just conquering. I don't think he has lost any city! His attacks are gaining momentum, soon the Germans and Finnish will not be able to stop him! If he continues this way, he could be in Berlin before we launch an assault on Minsk and Kiev
