Perhaps the FAM should keep this link handy throughout the game this time? (We used this to ensure our Diplomatic Victory in the first game.)

I think attacking the ottomans may be the best option when looking at what civs are around us. You can forget about attacking the zulus for now, attacking impis with archers is foolish at best. Any attack of the celts and/or Iroquois would probably have to come very early, before they get their UU's. We dont have that much time. The ottomans are the only civ around without and ancient era UU, not the mention the fact they have given us one more reason to eliminate them by attacking us.
We have terrain-related reasons for attacking the Ottomans as well. They will be much harder to contain based on the terrain. The Iroqious can only expand one direction, south. Everything else around them is tundra and mountains. They will slow their growth eventually. The Zulus and Celts can be seriously hindered an any attack attempt (once we get a few cities) by stationing units on the mountains (or further east when we start settling beyond them).

Well, you know, I know the feel of death. Being a saga-singing, sword-swining, swig-sucking Viking hero like myself, one is very tempted to run around and act barbaric. I always fancied the idea of total slaughter when dealing with enemies, and the Ottomans should be no exception.
In short: Expand, build the army, attack, kill everyone. Maybe, though, for the sake of expansion, spare the cities for a while. That might be best.
Any chance of some mead, eh?
