Most of the world then was carved up among the great colonial powers though. Basically you had the european nations (17), the US, Latin America (16), the Ottoman empire, Ethiopia, Persia, Thailand, China, and Japan and that was it, so it was a much more limited playing field.

Alright, let's give Fez the benefit of the doubt that in no more than four days of research, his opinion of Menem did a complete 180.
Again, I have to ask: should we just assume, as a default position, that anything you say or any people you put forth as good examples is a useless, completely uninformed opinion subject to total reversal?
