You have to have a dictionary of Economics like Adam Smith to get any respect around here. So I picked up Oxford Dictionary of Economics today. It was the only one at Barnes and Nobles, but it seems adequate to me.

Eurocurrency A currency held in a European country other than its country of origin. Such currencies need not themselves be European: there are large Eurodollar and Euroyen deposits. If the dollar were to be replaced (as key currency), in whole or partially, by the Euro that would decrease the demand for Eurodollars. If we assume that falling value for the dollar is the cause of the replacement then the additional decrease in demand would have significant negative consequences.

I guess my 'case closed' didn't work like I've seen it work before
