Well arrange a game and enter the specific IP I don't know if the search works, even if there is a game being hosted somewhere in the world at that exact minute you try to locate it.

lemme guess explorer fault in terranx.exe ..... just did it a few times in my IP game aswell

anybody got a clue what causes it ?

Actually, this was with SMAC, not Alien crossfire. It turned out it was ZoneAlarms fault, as it though the other players communications were hacking atempts...
It doesnt really like XP and being asked to run in 1280x1024 either.
