Well, maybe thats the message I want to send. I dont trust them. I only trust the cool ones. |
Yes, we definitely need more cool police officers, just like "the man with no eyes" who wore those cool sun glasses in the movie "Cool Hand Luke". They'll be able to resolve "communication problems" just as coolly as "the man with no eyes" did in the movie. Then the films of their communication resolution techniques can be aired on cool shows like "the World's Scariest Police Chases". Just let me know the date, time and channel so that I can make popcorn in advance!

When that person is also armed with a firearm. If they are using mace on you for no reason, what's to stop them from using a firearm? Nothing, outside of your own firearm.

Uhhhh... that's a good way to get yourself killed.
If they are beating you, any action you take in your own defense will just lead to a harder beating... picking up a metal chair, bar, or whatever, will lead to you get shot for resisting arrest. Even DF understands that one
Your best bet is to bring charges later... Not a great solution at the time, but it's the only real choice you have.

orange,
quote: I suppose the same logic can be applied to a man who has a gun in his home and slaps you on the back? After all, if he'll do that, what's to stop him from shooting you? |
A slap on the back isn't an assault. Being beaten with a nightstick is. Duh.
LoA,

Let's see, Rodney King...as I recall, wasn't he both high and resisting (lawful) arrest?

Since when does backslapping have any connotations of either assault or batterY?
orange, come on, you know as well as I do that isn't what battery is, unless it is intended as such, which it isn't. Ever.

I suppose, and if you obviously intend an assault by slapping someone on the back, you better hope you're not carrying a deadly weapon, and that your victim isn't either. Again, if you assault someone while carrying a gun, you should be (and AFAIK are) fair game.

The panthers monitored the police. it's completely legal to do so assuming you are a certain number of feet away from an arrest.
as for fighting back... like a lot of people said, probably not a good idea as police got guns and they will bring even more force against you if threatened.
Why does Jaguar Warrior have that signature? he's like 12 years old!
