The ‘second’ best: the Russian. At this point, I knew I had already won the game.

1295AD:
The Germans were down to 3 cities, the Japanese had also 3 and the Persians were expanding NE. Unfortunately for them, the peninsula had 3 Barbarians camps with horsemen. Some settler/spearmen teams survived the trek. Most didn’t.
The Aztec were down to 1 city.

1295AD: wrong caption above This is the correct one:
The Celts declared war on Hannibal. I didn’t even bother. After 5 turns, we got a nice swapping of luxuries. Instant WLTGD !

1580AD:
Carthage is growing well. Too much gold. Oh! The Germans and Persians declared (again) war on me a few turn before and lost their best cities. Ah well, they’ll probably never learn.
The Germans and Persians are not the only suicidal ones. Brennus just lost an opportunity to shut up.

Now, after all these screenshots, the final question: was it a PUP game?
Well, yes and no: I had planned to have my empire spanning let's say between half and two-thirds of the continent, no more, first before I wanted to keep corruption down and secondly to give the game a better challange.
Unfortunately, I went to war so many times (I NEVER started one!) that the empire growed 'by itself'.
According to my PUP principles, I let the Germans and Persians their core cities, since they were strategically and economically irrelevant. I conquered them only when they declared, again, war on me, but let their civs alive.
I should have done the same with the Japs and not have invaded their peninsula, but this time I was a bit p***** off.
I did not try to invade the Celts, in spite of their 3 luxuries, because I got them by peaceful trading.
The placement of the Palace/FP was quite awful, I admit.
So, not too bad after all. I will post some more screenshots of other games as to keep this thread alive.

First set of replay screenshots.
The first shot, from 1000BC, shows early peaceful expansion.
The second, from 510BC, shows my initial assault on Persia (which actually began in 730BC). By this time, I had generated my first Great Leader (590BC) and rushed the Forbidden Palace in Persopolis (the easternmost city in the screenshot).
The third shot (10AD) shows the beginning of my first German war (peace with Persia now). I'm rolling at this point.
The fourth shot, from 250AD, shows the spoils of the 1st German war. I generated another leader, who formed an army.
Things of note:
1) 800BC, Colossus built in Ultica.
2) 490BC, Celts complete Pyramids.
3) 490BC, Celts enter GA. The results are fairly obvious.
4) 30AD, Great Library built in Utica.
More to come...

ARG! I tried backing up 1 turn on the replay and it screwed it up (all the city dots showed up, even cities yet to by built)!! So annoying.
Anyway, the first shot, from 500AD, shows my fight against Japan. They declared war on ME, by the way. Anyway, I have just started my GA (460AD), and thanks to Japan, I now have the Hanging Gardens.
The second shot, from 750AD, shows the beginning (and nearly the end) of my Persian mop-up operation. Peace with Germany and Japan at this point. Contact has been made with Russia, due to their Great Lighthouse.
BASTARDS!!! The third shot, from 790 BC, shows the evil Russian attack on the city of Theveste. Theveste was in fact defended, by a fortified regular swordsman. In a size 12 city, behind a river, no less. Yet the Russian regular horseman defeated him. I never forgave Catherine for that.
The final shot in this sequence is from 1200AD, and shows the final destruction of Persia, Germany and Japan.
Things of note:
1) Great Wall built 380AD by Russia.
2) Great Lighthouse built 410 AD by Russia.
3) Hanging Gardens built by Japan 440 AD.
4) Carthage enters GA 460AD.
5) Great Leader for Carthage 580AD.
6) Sistine Chapel built by Carthage 600AD
7) Leos built 610AD by Carthage.
8) Sun Tzu built 640AD by Carthage.
9) JS Bach built 740AD by Carthage.
10) Great Leader for Carthage 940AD.
11) Magellan's built by Carhage 980AD.
12) GL for Carthage 1050AD.
13) GL for Carthage 1060AD.
14) Copernicus built by Carthage 1100AD.
15) GL for Carthage 1120AD.
16) Newton's built by Carthage 1160AD.
