This is my first venture into fiction writing in almost 5 years (since I left college). I hope you enjoy the story. I have to warn you though, it will take me a while to complete it as I have numerous commitments and very little time to spend on an undertaking such as this (it is currently 351 am local time). So be patient and I will post as fast as I can.

so far your story is really enjoyable and the characters seems like real people

i am looking forward to you continuing your story! i just wanted to tell you good job! your effort hasn't gone to waste

the thing i like most about your story is the fact that it seems like it could be real...i think that SMAC when viewed in the right context is a world made with life-like dynamic characters in mind...the original SMAC backstory certainly seem scientifically plausiable if not correct in every detail

i certainly think that your characters seem to be more in tune with real people than comic book cut outs...i just really like your work!

Thank you korn469. I appreciate your kind words. It was my goal to write a believable story that was as down to earth as I could possibly make it.

Obviously players of SMAC are going to know how this particular story ends but I still hope to provide some entertainment until the story reaches that predetermined climax.

Who knows. If this story is received well, I may venture out and begin writing some stories after PLANETFALL.

As a side note, since this can be somewhat of a stand alone story. I have also decided to post this on my personal homepage as well thus allowing the rest of the world to enjoy this drama.
