I heard the game will not be available until Sunday, since none of the prospective buyers will buy it until then anyway. Look again today.

Checked Suprnova and it's there. Weighing at around 2700mb. Which is quite large when you compare it to other large games. So how many CD's does Sims 2 have??? 5??

edit: Checked the list properly. 16,000 people downloading, and its 2924 Mb.

I'm not gonna bother downloading that much. But if the reviews are good from these guys then I won't cancel my pre-order.

Lose 30 kilos (of popups)

I've heard it will be shipped as 4 CD's in stores, and 1 DVD if you preorder.

Yeah there are 5 cds for graphics, sound and cutscenes. The content comes in its own package. I hope you still have a working floppy disk drive.

Sorry, I can't help it.

4 cds? that can't be enough! At almost 3000MB, it would have to be 5 or 6!

Why would this game have so much data?

I've got a feeling people are going to have a tough time reviewing this game. They'll be swaying from side to side: Yeah it's a great game, quite addictive, but they should have added:

I think that will be the bulk of the reviews.

C&C:Generals is something like 2.4 or 2.7 gigs, and it fits on two CD's.

FS2004 is 2.7 gigs IIRC, too.

The isntalled version might be, but the CDs can't be more than about 1.5gb if it only has two cds.

The Sims 2 does indeed have 4 cds. Hopefully it doesn't require a full install... and if it does, hopefully it isn't as well compressed as C&C generals must've been.

Yeah, the install size and how much you can get on the cds are different things. Usually the size required for installation is what's given.

And in all that 2.7 gigs they couldn't add the ability to place furniture against diagonal walls?

Judging from the fact that one can have windows etc. on them, I guess you can have furniture too.

Nope, furniture is not possible...

And considering how they probably have programmed it, there's a huge difference between furniture and windows...

Is that confirmed? I mean, I read in one of the reviews last day, that for example chairs can be pulled in to the table, to take less space, so that sounds weird...

I read in a review where they said it still wasn't possible...

And to put a chair under the table wouldn't be that hard to program...
