Ok. That painting is really cool.


I hope they didn't just recreate the scene in the painting, and that it actually replicates what the sim is looking at.

My bet would be they just recrated it... would be very diffecult otherwise

Has anybody read any Phillip K.Dick novels(there is one in particular that i cant remember the title for, which is relevent here) ?

Whenever i hear about the Sims i think of it - it was our future world, people could run these 'life' simulations to forget their day to day lives........it was horrible

[edit] It had something to do with Mars - not sure if it was the novel they based the Arnie movie Total Recall on or another one?

I think for all our sakes(imagine the Sims in 20 years!) we should contact the trusties of Phillip K.Dick's and ask them to sue 'the Sims' for obvious copyright theft

ebgames.com says that it ships on May 7th. They usually have a pretty good idea of when games are beign released.

I think they may have actually coded it that way. See attached image. Actually, with a good 3D engine it wouldn't be so hard to do. Still a cool thing to do.

I know o nthe last one, ther was anudity code, but I heard that it screwed up the sound, and I ddin't really care about computer boobies enough to screw up my sound, so I could screw off.

It didn't screw up anything... using the anti-pixelAnnoyer didn't actually 'show' anything (Maxis didn't make all parts of the human body), so if you wanted to see nudity, the patch doesn't really 'do it'...
I only applied the patch because looking at those stupid pixels was soo annoying (Sometimes it even showed through walls)
