Quite a long thread so forgive me if this is posted already. What are the system requirements? I'm running Windows NT (service pack 6) at work and a lot of free games out there are out of bounds for me...

So, what do you need?

#46 has attacked us, hes not doing very well, took land off ottomania but im hammering back hard.

Need to keep up the attacks, as soon as he attacks again he will be open to more attacks. Hit him contsantly with Standard attacks. If anyone needs money or units let me know. Its cost me about $15bil already but look what damage ive done. He's already used all his turns. lol

The war reports above shows how vital the counter attack was. Thr held defences of Laz and I must have took out about 1mil of his units, my standard attacks probably took most of the rest. Thus another of his attacks against Ottomania failed.

Hes basically bought about 5mil Aerial units lost them all and lost 4k more land than he had before he started.

All told he used about 500 turns, guess the first 400 were grain harvesting. We were lucky he did that harvesting as id only 70 turns left (20 after I recovered my health). Keep an eye on this guy and if you see his Net Worth suddenly jump (up to 100mil in this case) watch the stats and as soon as he attacks - buy up extra defence if needed and go on the counter attack.

Just rebuilt my defence, this little skirmish actually cost me about $20bil but it was worth it, I kept my land this time. A big defence cost a lot of money but I can earn it back in about 600 turns cashing.

NB. At future level vs past, you are most vunerable to Aerial attacks, then bombardment.

The relative attack:defence values for each unit type (future stated first)

Guerilla 2:1 (attacker needs x2 units to succeed)
Bombardment 3:2 (attacker needs 2/3rds units to succeed)
Aerial 3:7 (attacker needs about 2/5ths units to succeed)
Hydro 7:6 (attacker needs about x1.2 units to succeed)

Tip of the day

Instead of selling units on the black market (at a massive loss) before you take cash turns put them on the public market.

They probably wont sell (if you do you make a profit), however they are removed from your army, and I think you dont need to support them. You can remove them from sale when you want them back.

I just noticed I had 1.5mil hovercraft on sale, clicked remove and they have just added themselved to my forces. I think you can only put up for sale about 20% of what you own at any time but this is a way of reducing your sell/buy margin, it also provides an alternative supply of units in times of crisis or if the black market doesnt have many left (a sort of unit bank).

Black Flag is actually being a pretty good milking empire for me--don't kill him. You see, every time I get on, he's got back up to 10,000 acres or so but still not a good army, so I cream him, and take most of the acreage. Then I run out of turns or money or health and I log off. Like magic, when I'm back on, he hasn't attacked anyone, but he's back to the land where the gains can be made!

(If this is a problem for any of you, i.e. SPY is more aggressive because of it, then let me know.)
