It seems as though the Suomi are leading Europe in per capita tissue and toiler paper consumption.

Tissue consumption per capita:

1. Finland 24 kg/capita
2. Switzerland 19 kg/capita
3. Sweden 18 kg/capita
4. Belgium 17 kg/capita
5. Norway 15 kg/capita

On average, toilet paper comprises 60% of all disposable tissues.

I would like to congratulate our northern friends for being so liberal-minded and progressive.

Not saying it isn't, but AFAIK that happens in more southern countries.

AFAIK the left hand thingie comes from the Middle East/Near Asia, not Southern Europe. Though I'm not sure if it still happens today, I thought it was mostly a thing of the past. I do know you should still never shake hands with a Muslim with you left hand, regardless of where he's from (apart from Western countries maybe), but I thought that was more based on tradition than on current practices.
