Interesting perspective... although I'm not a D&D type, don't consider myself a loser/geek, I do waste lots of time playing games. But all of my friends are too I'm also not a trekky.

Sava, there are 2 different types of these people. The posers, which any group has, kids who grew up in the suburbs and thought doing this stuff was cool. What other reason does a kid need? And the real deal who might have grown up in bad neighborhoods, identified with the culture or even grown up in the culture, sort of like Eminem's character in 8 Mile. I don't know if this is the real case with Eminem but I think it might be.

In the second case you can't blame kids for just doing what may be natural to them no matter what their skin color is.

Hey man, D&D is cool. I personally cant stand it, but I got nothign agst it. My friend who's 6'3" black basketball player plays D&D. He didnt grow up in the suburbs or nuthin either. Talk about breaking the stereotype in everyway.
