When you say that someone is like something, you have grouped that something, and implied that all things that are that something share the attribute which the other things are "like". In your post, you said that people were acting like they were black because they had afros and gold teeth....
so, are you racist?

Its not realy that. He mocked them in a very deragatory way that makes me feel that he insulted the blacks more than the whites there.
anyways, if you dont like those ppl just dont associate wit them, I see no real reason to get hung over by why certain ppl act the certain way if you dont need to deal with them.

It's more a black gangsta thing than it is a preppy 'Friends' thing.
Balck ppl have worked hard since their emancipation to establish a culture and an identy in the united states. While many have decided blend, others have decided to stand out, and with such bravery will come mockery. It happens to everyone. Bikers, Preppies, Martial Artistist, Ravers, Goths, and yes Ganstas all have race and attitudes attatched to their images. Is that racism?
When one sees ppl that are not acting the way they should based on ones prejudicial ideas of that ppl than yeah one would feel wierd, and Pointing, laughing, and making rude comments is complete bigotry and can be labled as racist. So, take CalcII's advice.
Also, don't go to a rap concert and then act surprised that your the only white guy there

You are so right. That is why I listen to Country Western, and only the older stuff before it got too much of the *Funk* stuff in it, and before Canadians were allowed to participate. The only slang I use is 'dude', and other words when I'm cussin' at the neighbors dogs for eatin my squirrel meat.
Us white folk need to be more in tuned with those things that made us the pure bread stallions that we are today... You know, things like overalls, cowboy boots, muskrat huntin', sport fishing, folk music, tractor pulls, NASCAR, and slavery. Man I miss the days when they wouldn't let them black folk participate in the PBR... That's why I bowl now.
Anywho... stay pure.
