I'm planning on holding the salient and that city will get me a extra redguard unit per turn or two. Its near a kolective and a undiscovered coal mine.

Commanders don't forget that you can throw your red army troops into battle and if they fail they will become partisans this winter! ie Rostov could do about 4, kursk 3, Its better for them to appear and attack during our turn than be surrounded and slaughted when appearing in the german turn.

The tank must have gotten lost b/c it appeared near gomel just as my partisans were going to attack the german units around it. In a heroic act of solidarity the Su122 joined in the attack knocked out a Pzk IV and then sheltered in gomel.

But yes next turn I'll make sure I don't move any units that are homed to one of your cities esp since now since both yours and mine units are in some of your cities.

that is not the problem, I don't mind to let you a unit if you needed to, what when did I build that unit? it is only possible to do it in winter and I already have one the first turn?
also, I think kursk was building cossack cavalry

Normally these are all killed by the germans in summer 41.

I normally wouldn't move anyones unit, except by mistake or in the case of the su-122 it was close to gomel already. (damn if I only rehomed it elsewhere you wouldn't have noticed)

Economic Report for month of December 1941

IMPORTANT! There is still a stack with a bomber on it where Narva used to be! Someone downloaded the wrong save someware! THEY MUST BE DESTROYED!

Next technology to research: Public Poll suggested "War Productivity" but my suggestion is "Advanced Flight III" if we want to get decent ground attack aircraft before Summer.

Suggestions:
The choice of production in Rostov and Voronezh perplexes me as they have enough sheilds stockpiled to produce a KV-1, suggest our Marshal corrects this.
Many of our Red army divisions have been promoted to Red Guard status, these must be moved to the front lines from cities in the hinterland.

A new KV-1 has arrived in Batumi ready for transport by sea. Newly promoted Red Guard units from the Caucuses are heading towards the frontlines for transfer tot he 2nd Ukranian Front.

Armaments ministers budget: whatever you see fit (suggestion: more airports?).

I used the NKVD Trooper to do it just like Henrik.

There must be a cash bonus for killing a Karl. Im up to 1628 rubles, which is 800 more than Greenyov had.

I guess that means a "spending spree" after Siblingov plays.

We will give him till wednesday 0300 GMT to play. Then I will do it.

While we have this pause I would like the Front Commanders to post in there threads what there plans are for the next turn. This is after all a Democracy Game.

I had a concern or two expressed to me about us moving too fast. Must be my PBEM background as the "Bump King"

So after the next turn we are going to pause for 12 hours to give front commanders time to analyze the file and post what they are going to do that turn. That will give the non players a chance to comment.

Does this sound like a plan? If anyone has serious heartburn with this please post here.

If it was up to me alone I would push these turns along but its not really fair to the people not actively playing.

Lets try it and see how it works OK?

Voronezh will be a Tank Hunter. It is waste of 2 sheilds.

Rostov is changed back to a KV-1, we already have all the sheilds to build it and it would be a real shame not to.

In the future waste of sheilds will be considered a crime against the state. This is a workers paradise and the workers endlessly toil to provide the weapons you need to wage war against the Facists.

And there is only one place for criminals that commit crimes gainst the whole State!

And I have had a few comments about we were going to fast. Its up to you guys but I was going to slow it down a little. Comments?

SU-122: It is an event, I guess.

To ALL: I have seen your game, at which level do you play? deithy? king? I play a totally diffrent way, I never rush-buy units except labour brigades. So in my games I have a huge number of brigades in the east ural, they build industry, farmland and new cities. In the west I let thing go as they go, because when 1942 summer arrive, then I produce accurat enough to keep facist out of Stalingrad, Kaluga, Kalnin, Yaroslav and the city east of Novgorod. Sometimes I loose Leningrad (what a shame!!), but with my tactic I have so overwhelming production so my opponent simply have no chance. I also make sure Stormovik plane is ready 1942.may so I can "kick some ass".

I usually build units so the cities don't waste any production, and I prefer first red guard infantery and T34, then anti air, then KV-1, then Sturmovik. KV-1 is just built in Stalingrad, Moscow, Tiblisi and if any other city has 50 shields at least in production.

I'm surprised myself actually, I have never before get so good score. The next game I tried a diffrent tactic as prince and almost lost Moscow!! That's because I lost Kaluga and that city is IMPORTANT.

Another thing I also discovered was that you should NEVER give away cities for free...well some of them do not bother so much. But key-cities will generate a lot of german units, 30-40 units depending on which city. To defend yourself from them hold, Perekop, Kiev, Smolensk, Riga (impossible but...) AND Bryansk!!! If you hold Bryansk to december you will probably hold Kursk and Tula, and the city between them. And then you do not have to worry about german units in the ural region.

Stalingrad is not easy to defend, either you have to have a lot of KV-1 and anti-air, or you simply have to hold Voroshilovgrad and Rostov. In that case you do not have to defend Stalingrad with more than 4 anti-air and 4 tanks. To hold Rostov there will be need for counterattack to wipe out every Wespe and SG infantery, also Perekop will bee important when you launch attack against german units outside Zaporozhye. To hold these cities, you need anti-air and cossack, t34, red guard... and some red infantery. The road through Zaporozhye will bee the german main road to Rostov....therefore.
