Marshall Phase II

Sold off lots of libraries and NKVD's. Rush bought all requests especially near the front.

Did all rush build requests and finished quite a few Barracks. Again all of these are near the front.


Reinforcements flown into Murmansk and Leningrad.

German Moves

Large battles for Rostov, Perekop. Two to three casulties in each city

Cities captured:
KIEV! - 6 rubles
Kharkov - 4 rubles
Tikhvin - 1 ruble

22 total units killed.

REMEMBER EVERYONE: run the redfront.bat file and change to the winter '41/'42 files.

Heaps of german units killed approx 20 brigades floundering in the snow, partisans created from failed red army incursions into german area's.

Some indsutry being built (by winters end) Big green I in pic.

red line is the plan for a strong front by summer 42.

new town created, labor units near moscow moving back to build.

When you are done with a turn post your Rush Build Requests in the Economic Ministers Thread.

Look at how Yop did his this turn. Thats how I would like us all to do it.

You can also publish your reinforcement requests there at the same time or any other unusual requests you have. That way Everything you want done during the Economic Ministers Phase or the Marshalls phase will be in one place.

Sounds like the start of another Marshall directive to me.

Just a heads up, I'm sure our experienced commanders know this but others may not: does this save need to be renamed rf.sav by the next general when he runs rf.bat? I think it does... I had serious problems the one time I didn't do that.

I thought that re-naming first only needed to be done once (by the marshal) as it altered the .sav file in some way, and running the .bat after that has happened would just swap the approrate files. So re-naming to rf.sav wouldn't be neccisary. However I'm not sure on this so to be on the safe side renaming the file first makes sense.

Im not sure either Greeny but I usually do what you are talking about load the file, save as RF.sav, run the batch and load RF.sav, I figure it may take an extra 30 seconds but it is worth it not screwing up the whole Demo game for everyone!

Only the marshal should have a filed named like the bat file wants it to, otherwise the events stored in the file will be deleted over and over (this would cause the triggering of one time events upon loading the file several times during our turn!)

Finished turn. Seems like the Byelorussian front siphoned off one of my Red Army units returning to Kalinin Also how did Tikhvin fall into the hands of the Fascist pigs!??!!? Maybe a purge is needed....

Thanks for catching us and correcting us on how to run the batch file. I did it once and reloaded RF.sav.

What does everyone else do Before there turn? Dont they have to do something to load the winter events, units, terrain, etc before they play?, on there own computers?.

Sure, everyone should run the bat, just not delete the events in the save file (this is accomplished by simply running the bat without renaming the file I should imagine )

Narva has been destroyed and Tikvin retaken. No units lost
I had to leave a big stack at narva however, as there was an airplane on top of it

Several german units on ice killed

Got a tank destroyer from a surviving village
(It was techinically just as close to the Nortwest front, but it was homed to Novgorod so I took it).

Great Victory at Narva, when the temporary confusion regarding the German air support had vanished one regiment of highly motivated NKVD troopers moved in for the final kill.
In the ruins of the city of Narva, the NKVD rounded up remaining German units.

19 Units surrendered. Among these was the feared Karl Seige mortar which has now been brought to Moscow taking part in parades on the Red Square.

It is with great pleasure that I tell you all that the Fascist attack on Leningrad has been totaly routed.


Note: I am fairly sure I would've been able to kill all those units next turn instead, as that is what I had prepared to do, but this definatly speeded things up
