Usually ads like these will be shut down soon. Keep things to actual posts about the game and your ads can stay in your sig.

Locutus,
I am sorry if you thought I was infringing on your job at all. That was not my intent. I have seen this type of thread closed many times in the past (maybe the policy has changed or simply this is different in some way that I am not aware of than the threads I have seen closed). I was trying to help out a new member of the board grow acoustomed to this site and its site rules. I apologize to you again if you feel that this infringed on your job.
I must say, however, that my post is no different than many of the posts by members of these boards that help self moderate the boards. Markos, Dan, Ming, and the rest would have a hellish time on their hands if members of this site did not take some responsibility in the moderation of this site. If you disagree I would be happy to talk to you further (possibly by PM) but I just had to respond to your post.

N/P. Modding *this* forum isn't my job either but even if it was, I still wouldn't mind and didn't think that.

If threads like this are posted in several forums, then they are closed. It has happened plenty of times in the past, but Napoleon usually stays within the limits of the rules.

Hehe, don't let the registration date and Settler status fool you, Napoleon is far from a newbie His promotional work for the Battlefield (and before that the Guardians clan) goes back a long time (but IIRC always within the limits of the site's rules).

And your efforts are appreciated. (Heck, Markos mainly made me a mod so I wouldn't have to constantly bother him and Ming anymore ) But it helps if you actually know the rules before applying them (Don't worry, even I occassionally run into rules I didn't knew exist before -- Dan and Markos move in mysterious ways ) Usually it's best to use the 'report post' function or to privately contact a mod/admin though, rather than to post in the thread itself. After all, by the time the appropriate mod sees your post, he's already seen the offending post as well
