Economic Report for month of January 1942:

DISASTER IN BAKU!
The call-up of a new labour-brigade in Baku appears to have promped a local leader known only by the initals A.I. to disobay the Economic Commisar's explicit orders and re-assign the citizens of Baku to go fishing rather than pumping oil! Due the the citizen being "starving". Once this was realized the citizen were imediatly put back to productive work and A.I. is going for a LONG holiday in Siberia.

But the damage had already been done leaving the Soviet treasury at only 125(,000) rubles! Non-vital improvemetns in the Caucuses have been sold to help compensate! increasing avaliable funds to 605(,000) rubles.

This has meant that rush-buying programs have been scaled back this month (no new AAs this month folks )
but the following requests were approved:

Red Guards in Murmansk, Kitela, Kandalashka and Belograd.
Barraks in Orel and Zangalov.

Better news is that oil production has now increases significatly now that roads have been built to oil-refinaries thoughout the region, but there is still much more improvemets to be done (request airlifts of avalaible workers to cities in the Caucuses).

Additional: we should finish researching Advanced Flight II this month.

The poll we had suggested we should research "War Productivity" next.
But I suggest that we research "Advanced Flight III" instead because otherwise we wont have the ground attack aircraft we need for summer 1942!

Also there is a poll about Starting the Civilian Donations wonder (to be changed to something better later) I think we should do it this turn.

Comrade Sorokin just informed me the priority is to support the NW Front.

Plan is to rush build some Su-122's in Gorkiy/ Moscow and get them into place for a NLT April offensive.

Ill follow up with Red Guards next turn to reinforce if we take Kholm.

Give me some ideas of anything you can live without I can sell, that are in your Front Areas. (There aint a whole heck of a lot to sell in the Urals.)

	ARMAMENTS TURN Support Apolyton buy from Amazon

Sold a bunch of stuff.

Moscow, Kallinin, Demyansk built a Tank Hunter. All have enough movement to strike at Kholm in April. Demyansk and Kallinin could strike in March. Demyansk could strike in Feb.

Red Guard built in Yaroslav, existing Red Guard moved up to be in striking distance by March.

Gorkiy stayed building a KV-1, a Tank Hunter couldn't have made it to assault Kholm by April.

Discovered a few things, NO AA in Perekop. And it only produces one sheild a turn. This is going to be a problem next summer. Not Pauls fault really Perekop is no production power house.

Dont go below 2 troops garrisoning a city. Thats why Baku went into disorder. Greeny I changed the que to Red Guard, I would rush that next turn and wait till one of those non vet red armies could get down there and garrison, then release the Red Guard. Make sure to keep two in there for happiness!

Murmansk Red Armies are moving south. Some need to go back, at least one. Murmansk would have been in disorder next month if I hadn't placed one of your guys as an entertainer.

H there was only a few reinforcements blinking so I moved them.

I hated to waste sheilds so one more turn to build a Tank Hunter in Sverdlosk and we will switch to wonder.

I hope this offensive pays off. This delayed my build up of the Urals. See that thread for future plans for the Urals and backwaters of the Soviet Union.

We may need to start building some defensive units. Next summer is just around the corner.

The South may need attention as well by next summer. Plan on a huge offensive down there, the facists will want our oil!
