	Headquarters base name Support Apolyton buy from Amazon

I don't know if a poll is necessary with five members, but I'll post one anyway, with the question: How should our first base be called? I've included all the land base options given by others, and also a few of mine.

Seeing that we are only with six Consciousness members at the moment, the possibility exists there might be a draw if we only have one vote each. Therefore I've made it multiple choice if that's ok. If not we can always start a new poll. There's no rush I suppose, as we can always rename our base, should we have to play our first turn before the HQ base name poll is finished.

I'vemade it a two-day time limit.

Edit: Ignore all the previous. Instead, give three points to your most preferred name, two points to your second choice and one point to your third choice. Th one with the most points wins.

Apolyton Prime: 9p (unbeatable now I think)
Alpha Prime: 6p
The Consciousness: 3p
Alpha Adien: 2p
Alpha Central: 1p
Concordia: 2p
The Matrix: 1p

Personally, I would say vote for only one, but maybe put two as the maximum?

I was just about to do this.

My vote goes for Apolyton Prime. I think we should choose one of the top 3, as they are all Capital type names, close tom the original. The others can come in later, those 3 can't IMHO.

An alternative is every member posts 3 names, and gives them each 1, 2 or three points. In that case, I'd give:

The Consciousness - 3p
Alpha Adien - 2p
The Matrix - 1p

Ok, but that wouldn't require the poll. Let us not use this poll, but use this thread as a thread, and post those. Maniac, can you keep tally in the first post?

And a base named after our faction seems a little cheesy to me. We are already the Consciousness, if we name our capital that too, then we could get confused, when someone says "I'm from the Consiousness" or anything else. We won't know whether they mean the faction or the base.

It's being analogue to the Hive, where the HQ is also the (shortened) faction name, being the true core & brain of the entire faction.
Ah yes, the reason why I didn't vote for Apolyton Prime is because we are no longer playing one big Poly team as in the first ACDG. Also, using that name, the risk exists our HQ name will be almost identical to the one of other factions. Who knows the other might get ideas like "Apolyton Base", "Apolyton Haven", "FreePoly Central"...

Possibly, but Alpha changed to Apolyton looked good IMHO. I agree with the new system but I will reserve my 2nd and 3rd choices until later, as I will have to think about them, and if I want to use them.

I'll vote Alpha Prime first, and reserve my others for later. But it doesn't matter much to me, so long as it is descriptive of its function and sound in character.

Well, changing now, because of others opinions, seems logical, if unscrupulous. Personally, I would think it should be frowned upon, but if you wish to, then I think it would be accepted.
