PEACE Relations Improvement - by Corelli Omega-9
As many are aware, due to the massive outflowing of transmissions a short while ago, relations between the Cybernetic Consciousness and PEACE have deteriorated. The pact we shared became unrepresentative of our relationship, and so it was decided to downgrade to treaty. However, a misunderstanding which coincided with this action lead to an extremely hostile situation, and relations with PEACE suffered a blow much greater than we anticipated. At the moment, the relationship seems all but unsalvagable.
However, we in the Cybernetic Consciousness still wish for peaceful, if not pacted, relations with PEACE, and so are committed to improving our relationship from the point to which it has fallen. As a token of our sincerity, a number of functions have decided to try and show our respect for PEACE by emulating one of their artforms in expressing our friendship. Thus, our message to PEACE, in the hopes of improving relations, shall take the form of a sea shanty. Please keep in mind that artforms such as this are unfamiliar to us, and our algorithms for emulating it are new and imperfect. Thus, please forgive any mistakes in emulating the style.

That started from this landlocked base way back in CyCon land.
They first b’gan work way long ago on the Weather Paradigm,
But higher-ups, as they often do, went back and changed their minds.
The HGP they were transferred to, but soon they quickly changed,
To the Virtual World and yet again, now to the Merchant exchange.
Each year they changed, never knowing what their labour soon would bring,
The options shrank, as the projects all were quickly dis'pearing.
Long time they worked on the Virtual World, thought they knew it all’d been done,
Worked night and day through the many years and cycles of the sun.
But now they see that their years of work have never been for naught,
For it’s done right now;
They can celebrate.
They’ve all improved
Our lot.

Where in the World is Colonel Santiago? - by Corelli Omega-9
Well, that's one mystery solved. Santiago is in quite a bad way in regards to her energy supply, explaining the drained energy rifles. With no permanent base, and her group being constantly on the run, they've had no way to accumulate any energy supplies for recharging... probably explaining why she fled the jungle right under your nose! But you're still no closer to finding out where she actually is.
You sit back in your chair in DOSC headquarters, located deep within the city centre of the metropolis Logic Loop. The atmosphere has been growing quite tense lately... it seems like something big's going to happen soon, though you don't know what.
Your thoughts are interupted by a loud and penetrating voice sounding through your implants... and you immediately recognise it. It is, of course, that of Function Corelli Omega-9, the Internal Affairs Function. He's responsible for all the domestic concerns within the faction.
"Greetings, from the Office of the Internal Affairs Function.
This is a very important day for our faction, and a very important day as well for the the evolution of the human species. As many will have noticed, the output of Logic Loop over the years has been very much lower than what it should be for a metropolis of its size. In fact, it would appear to many to be a very inefficient base, for that reason. Today, however, we can now announce the reason for this apparent inefficiency.
Deep underground over the years, construction and technical teams have been working on the creation of a top-secret military facility. This facility has been outfitted with the most up-to-date technology and with unique equipment unmatched anywhere on Chiron. This facility is designed to better co-ordinate the movements and actions of our navy, and has thus been designated the "Maritime Control Centre". With this construction project finally completed, the efficiency of our navy will increase drastically. The improved co-ordination will result in a 33% improvement of movement rates of our cruiser-class vessels and a 50% improvement in our foil-class vessels. In addition, this facility will allow us to increase the preparedness and ability of our naval functions.
To conclude this announcement, we would like to state that it is altogether fitting that we who have sailed the depths of space now return again to the sea. This is in many ways a water planet, and it can be ruled from the waves. With sea power, rugged terrain can be bypassed and enemy strongholds isolated. Once naval superiority is achieved, Planet is ours for the taking.

BTW, when we conquer our first base, can we release a message announcing that the CyCon have achieved an engineering masterpiece by founding a base without a colony pod? Then we can have the newly-assimilated pirates, who still haven't fully adapted to CyCon life, singing our modified version of "What would you do with a drunken sailor". Sound good?
