Well, day-month-year sounds logical, and certain types of Americans definitely like the Euro-cache.
Except no one in Europe actually speaks this way. My German in-laws always say "April 3, 2003". In german as well as English. So isn't writing the other way pretentious?

Isn't it a bit silly that we have all these Europeans arguing English grammar with the Americans?
We all know that the Americans can't speak English properly, so why argue about it?
