Moving formations in one speed? Enter the AD-FREE zone

Is it possible? If I am sending formation with a siege weapon I would excpect it to move in the speed of the lowest unit and yet they don't.

Any ideas?

Browse Apolyton AD-FREE

What I really hate is when I send my huge army and instead of marching in a line they run like a bunch of barbarians

Avatar Enlargement: We've got the solution

Yeah that surprised me too- a real throwback, especially since AoK did that so damned well! It was actually pleasing to watch your army line up and march, then fan out into position. That was truly some nice coding and detail work!

Rather surprising if there is indeed no solution to it...

I'm still not losing hope though.

Suffering from ads?

i'm almost certain i saw a button in the hotkey list that will force units to march at speed of slowest unit...

If not, then just have all your units "gaurd" the seige, they'll stay close that way

Can't find it in the hotkeys list, just looked. I can't believe this got overlooked, it HAS to be in there.

I cant find out how to do this either.

The unit AI is generally maddening, and has contributed more than anything else to my frustration with this game. The way healing works would be a close second.

I hope you guys won't turn it into game bashing thread .

I still want some answer and not a game-bashing discussion. If there is not such feature I'd expect someone (From BHG maybe?) to at least state it and tell us their reasons... It is very possible that they had something else in mind instead... *shrug*

It sucks that units don't move at the same speed and keep formations. I think it's way easier to control. This game was supposed to be a refined RTS, why change a good thing? As far as I'm concerned, AOK had waaayyy better formations than RON. Whatever happened to dividing your armies into two armies to surround the enemy?
