I pop in about once a day on average, read the turn summary and any interesting threads, then pop out. Most days its about all I have time for, especially since Poly's forums are "smart filtered" at work *grumble*

I'm here, for whatever it's worth.
However, the team setup is not very engaging for the masses, IMHO.

Well, because ET reminded me that I am part of this team, I have come to here to post.
I am disinterested in this game.
In the beginning I have been active with the forming of the constitution, but since it started, I have the feeling that this game is missing something that the C3DG 1 had, as well as my own team Roleplay in the PTW team DG.
I cant name it because I don't know how to call it, but it is something that is like the feeling that you get when you are reading an exciting book and you are at the end of the page: you want to read the next page and the page after the next page and so on.
This game is missing that feeling.
The fact it is missing it now, does not mean that it is doomed and slowly, but steadily people will start to leave until just a groop of freaks remains.
TOGETHER WE CAN STOP THIS PROCESS!
Therefore we need to reïntroduce the debate. People should get the feeling that the government listens to them instead of ignoring them and creating its own favored policy.
Active party politics with strong parties like the DIA, Imperialists, and ALP in the C3DG 1 that oppose each other give the people the feeling that they belong to something that is not so large and incomprehensible as the 'entire' Apolyton team. This gives the people also the feeling that they do count and that their membership of this team is worthied by others.
Finally I have designed a government system for the C3DG 2 when the discussion about the constitution rose.
In this system, parties can hardly get a majority as long as there are enough parties competing each other.
The system is designed in such a way that parties and their members are encouraged to discuss and try to get people in favor of their ideas. Parties are forced to form coalitions on every issue that is being discussed and to form coalitions you need to debate and negotiate with the other party or parties.
In this system every member can be actively involved, but only a few make the decision, so that it is a workable system and not like direct democracy.
This is what I wanted to say on this topic, thanks for taking time to read these proposals and think about them.
