Ive alway heard that the rudeness is basically a Parisian thing, you just have to go south of the Loire and theyre nice and Mediterranean.

ive been to israel and mexico had great times in both.

Iraq would actually be a most fascinating place right now.

Kashmir is supposed to beautiful, might be worth the risk.

It is possible to for non-Americans to take a guided tour of Pyongygang. It's quite safe, you stay in special hotels, are not allowed anywhere without your helpful 'minder/propagandist', travel in a special railcar.

It's a case of 'nice place to visit but I wouldn't want to live there'.
