	Research Plan Browse Apolyton AD-FREE

In order to facilitate discussion and keep the team more informed, I have prepared this research plan. Please review and vote on if you agree with this plan or not.

The Plan

Finish researching Mapmaking, then research Horseback Riding, Code of Laws, and Republic (required Philosphy but we should aquire it via trade) in that order.

Aquire Mysticism and Polytheism from GCA by trading them MM + HBR (this trade has been approved by GCA)
Aquire Mathematics and Philosophy from either CDG or CFC by trading them MM + HRB (This trade is being negotiated).

Trade Code of Laws & Republic for Currency & Construction + gold (CoL = 10, Rep = 28. Cur = 16, Const = 20.) to whoever has these techs ... most likely CDG or CFC.

From a MoI point of veiw, this looks good. I was thinking about running a few turns at 100% taxes after we have finished Mapmaking and generate some funds to upgrade a few Warriors to Swordsmen. This will coincide with the Iron being connected.

Can we research Philosophy instead of Horseback Riding? There's only a 1-point difference there (Philo 6, HBR 5). This would help us be more crucial in the race for The Republic, which I'm sure some other teams are not undervaluing. Horseback Riding is not a critical tech for us, military-wise (I'm not sure about this, though).

This is an excellent point, the only problems are:

1) We already negotiated with GCA to trade them HBR, but they may accept Philosophy instead if we're willing to give that. We structured the tech deal with them to give them a "bonus point" that we owed them from our last deal.

2) We do not think CDG will research Horseback Riding as they have no horses, so we tossed out Philosophy instead and they agreed (although their research capacity is somewhat suspect).
