First of all, i have read the sticky on RoNH saying tournament mode. Does tournament mode exist? If so, how do they work are they large ffas or are they 1vs1s and everybody has to wait for the other person to complete their game?

Tournement mode is a setting in the game which simply creates a better game for competition.
Tourniments will no doubt be set up by websites and probably gamespy once the game gets going.
