On a related information:

The Israeli Security Agency (formerly GSS, aka Shin Bet) arrested 8 palestinians, some of them of Israeli citizenship living in Jerusalem. According to the suspicions, they intended to kidnap a whole busload of passengers and hide it in the Palestinian territories. They inteded to demand the release of high ranking Palestinian prisoners from Israeli jails.

The Israeli Foreign Ministry (IFM) yesterday called a special debriefing of foreign journalists covering the Israeli Palestinian conflict, and showed them exclusive explicit documentation of the results of terrorist suicide bombings.

"So far, we have refrained from 'marketing blood'" said IFM spokesperson in an interview to Maariv paper. (paraphrased) "But we must understand that the Palestinians are. They are shooting on film, and sending to major networks every event, together with it's horrific results. And it's working. We refrained from doing that, because it's low. I know that many Jews from around the world volunteer to do guarding and patrol duties and that many Israeli 60-70 year olds veterans volunteer too, but I dont know whether gentiles are also alowed.

In the immediate hours prior to the terrorist attack, Israeli Minister of Defence (and former Chief of Staff) Shaul Mofaz, told reporters that following Arafat's efforts to derail the recent peace efforts attempted by Bush, his "removal" is up for reconsideration.

19 injured, 5 of them critical. some are flown to a major hospital in haifa, which I can see from my window.

The security guard was also female and is dead.

4 casualties so far not including the bomber.

Cause some things aren't politically viable? The new Palestinian government is weak and would be either not willing or not capable of doing so. (Though if they were able to do so, it would probably give them a lot more stability and respect as a government).

panag, according to a report, al Aqsa and Hamas cooperated in the most recent attacks. They are both being financed through Lebanon and Iran. Hamas has said their Jihad will extend to the new prime minister if he tries to stop the bombings. al Aqsa is controlled by Arafat.

IIRC correctly, the roadmap calls for an end to terror attacks as part of the "progess" towards a Pal state. But is the a "condition?"

Regardless, it looks like there has to be a civil war in Palenstine before Abbas can take control. But will he even try?

From the Pal side, they say that Israel has to make concessions to avoid a civil war? But, why are Aqsa and Hamas still trying to disrupt the Peace process? They say they want to destroy Israel. I do not see how any concessions will advance peace with these folks given their agenda.

why they dont war , cause they dont know any better , simple , its a reason d'etre for them , ..... its way to easy to earn your living with narcotics and gun running then to do an honest job , .....

we allready did huge concessions to these people , we gave them the guns like agreed in oslo , ... the guns they use today to shoot at us , ..... we trusted them , we said , 'héy' we have to start somewhere , .... it got us nowhere , ....
