You can already rejoice that Jimmytrick has returned yesterday/today. Now is it EvC or Yyyyh next?
Well, promoting Poly isn't my business, but AFAIK Poly is very visible on major search engines, web directories (e.g. ODP), other websites and then we have word of mouth. Currently what's hot in strategy is RoN, while second popular are AoM The Titans and Civ III Conquests which will come out soon. RoN is indeed covered by Apolyton in a nice way, but there's many dedicated RoN websites and among the more RTS directed communities, ACS' RoN coverage is abit unknown as this is not a traditional RTS site. Now RoN is currently a game which could bring more people here, but that would require word of mouth and getting linked to by others sites. I assume the Brian Reynolds interview did rise the awareness of people about ACS' RoN coverage, but that's about it. Most other sites with RoN are network run which gives them an advantage, but which also means they're bound to the network. So all in all Poly has the advantage of being an indepedent RoN community, but yet that won't increase the popularity. What do I suggest? Passive promotion via word of mouth and good contents. Also such special things as RoN/BHG chats and interviews will help.
