After chatting with Boann on ICQ, I find she may lose her job in manufacturing in Colorado Springs, Colorado July 1.

But that's not the grimmest part of her story. Oh no.

I put forth the proposition that she may end up moving to the town where her parents live.

my folks are getting older and ill have to move
closer to them soon anyway, even if i don't get
laid off. i always sort of hoped i could move
them up to colorado , but my dad is losing his
strength a lot faster than i thought he would.
i don't think he could handle a move like that.

That sad thing is my ex-girlfriend lived in Lubbock, Abilene, and Houston. I've briefly been to Houston but not to the other two; she kept telling me we should get married and move to one of those three towns. Boy am I glade I didn't.
