Punisher Weapon Systems Enter the AD-FREE zone

I have been developing this new weapon OK?
I like it very much, it has several advantages. Sure it has few minuses too, but I'd like to carry this baby if I had to do patrol. I call it the first new baby of my fictional Punisher Weapon Systems (PWS) product. I hope to some day be able to make this reality, this weapon I mean. Let me present you.... The Sleep Watcher.

First of all, let me apologize my BAD drawings, I had to do them on PSP and I haven't used it and I suck at it so bare with me. I have drawn them more to paper and they're the real stuff, these are only fast schetches I made for you, to help explain the Sleep Watcher.

It's basically like mine, but it has several implementations, and using it as a mine is only one of them. It can be triggered manually from distance, or so that when enemy steps on it, or time detonator, or what I like to call 'Sleep Watcher System', where several of this weapons work together, if one is detonated, they all detonate. We can configure the system with the first detonating and the others detonating with delay.
One good thing is that Sleep Watcher System is very flexible.

Picture explanation 1: This is only to demonstrate possible scenario where this weapon could be used effectively. This crappy picture is supposed to tell you, that in the other side (left) is group, perhaps recon or just guerilla/sabotage/normal patrol, and they have called it a day and have to sleep. They must secure the perimeter. This means mines, booby traps, maybe few foxholes even. Or it might be strengthened tactical position where you must spend few nights, used as temporary camp for making strikes or recon to other targets near by. You don't have the time to fortify the place properly, so you must fix lighty defended camp. These are problems, since you can not have too much firepower, due to not being able to carry lots of stuff there. In worst case scenarios, you don't have air support, or artillery near. You are only a group, or strengthened group, and you might come under attack in this camp when you deattach and make it back here, but you're too far away from own troops, you can't move any further, thus needing all the firepower you need here, in this light temporary camp. This is where my baby, The Sleep Watcher, helps you. And literally gives you little ease so you can sleep a bit.

So, instead of using traditional mines or light detectors (flares triggered in the night times, enemy exposed) you mix it up with The Sleep Watcher.

Please do not respond, I'm going to continue...

Lose 30 kilos (of popups)

So, it's not a mine that jumps in the air and explodes, like there are those already. But it's simular to this.

It's close to granade launcher, it has simular tube to it, which shoots one ammunition to the air, above the enemies coming to disturb your sleep and possibly even kill you. Don't worry though, Sleep Watcher makes sure you're not the only one getting mangled.

Second picture explanation:

It is digged to the ground, like mines. It has the tube there, carefully camoflagued so the baddies don't get to see it. Night time is great for this. Instead of traditional mine explosion, one ammunition launches from the tube to where we have configured it to go. The goal is to make it fly above in the center of the enemy troops. It explodes in the air and releases smaller explosives to kill and injure the enemis. The Sleep Watcher weapon system makes it possible to adjust where you shoot the ammunition as in the hight, and how far it goes, just like in granade launchers. It has to be set to default, but if you have time, you can change the configurations with electronic remote system, only made to make the tube move few inches back and forth, so it's simple. This must be located in the front foxhole where the first guard is checking out the beautiful stars at night before he sees the baddies, so he can make adjustments fast using his night vision goggles to determine where he wants the inferno.

Please do not respond, post continues..

You can also use it more like a mine to set the tube straight up, so when the first guy steps on the trigger, the ammunition launches straight up, because you have failed to launch it earlier when the enemy was not so close. So this is when the enemy triggeres it instead of you.

What happens is it also shoots flare type of light detector at the same time, so the enemy thinks it's only flare but they freeze, because they don't want to move, because enemy sees the movement in dark. So the either freeze or hit the ground. But it doesn't matter, the light show is for you to see where the enemy is, so you can finish of the survivors of the explosions, and to help you locate where the possible screaming is coming from, and if someone is trying to get away, you see them, they don't see you.

Picture 3 explanation:

The big circle is meant to visualize the 100% kill zone. This area should not have any survivors, or at least they are horribly injured. If someone however is saved, the flare will help you to see them and shoot.
This picture shows you how the smaller explosives, granades for example spreads from the bigger ammunition. G's are meant to mean explosive, like genade.

Please do not respond, this continues with last post

The tubes are of two types: Disposable, used only once and the ones you can use few times. They are not heavy, so they can be easily attached to your backbag.
Disposables are good if you are smaller group and not expecting trouble and have to spend only one night in possible enemy territory and contact. They can be set up fast, and not necessarly disguised and camoflagued because this is used as a fast backup weapon (well you still need few minutes). And you're not coming back for this weapon either, so even if you can stay at this position, you don't have to worry about it, it's used.
In this tubes, you can put your own grenades, so you don't have to carry extra ammunition for this weapon only. Put them in the tube, your hand grenades that is, inside the ammunition. Grenades have to be fixed a little for this purpose, but you have already done it before you left your original camp.

The other tube and system which can be used more than once is for possibility of unexpected activity and possibility of having to stay longer than one day at territory. Example patrols etc. It takes more than few minutes to set up these babies, but they are to defend your temporary camp. The idea of this is to create absolute inferno and hell for few seconds. The firepower of this is HUGE. It is still light to carry and easy to use. The Sleep Watcher is all about psychology. Enemy is surprised, exposed (light detectors) and mangled (many small explosives going off mid air). This will wake everyone up, and enemy does not know what hit them and they will NOT continue coming on if they are just a patrol, or even if they are moving troopers, since they have no idea of the amount of enemies just killing you. They are not sure if it's the infamous The Sleep Watcher System, or if it's granade attack. They will stop and start back tracking hella fast. This gives you time to either get the F out and change your camp position, or maybe even start attacking. It's light, it's cheap, it's easy to use and pretty simple. And it's HUGE firepower for few seconds, which are crucial.

Now you might be asking, what is the Sleep Watcher System with many of these big boys working together?

This is simple case of boobytrapping a small area, perhaps small village comes to my mind first. We set these babies up together with one remote launcher. We set them up 100 meters away from each other, because they DO create so much firepower to the area of 100 meters that we are not expecting many survivors. Maybe 5 of these could really do the job. We go and watch the place we just boobytrapped with these honeys. We have camoflagued, so the main troops will come in and the first guys didn't see them (digged underground). When it's the right time, BLAM! We set them all off at the same time, or with delay to each other. It's not just a small mine or little granade attack, it's bloody inferno there! And now you can open fire to survivors. This way, a small group of guerillas, special ops etc. can give hella resistance to bigger troops sent after them. They can simply retreat a little, or so it seems. They never expect a village to blow up even if they faked retreat.

Ok this is it. You can now participate. Do you like my The Sleep Watcher? I have few other babies coming up on The Punisher Weapons but this is the first I present. I have more technical info on these babies, but you don't need to know them.

Benefits of this weapon are that it's light to carry, so you can have these with you if you decide to spend the night there. It creates HUGE firepower, to YOUR advantage.
Enemy will be shocked and awed for a second, there will be lots of casualties to them, if they are many. Injured people will attach another healthy soldier to aid them, and with light detector integrated to the system, you can see them, thus finish them too.

One of the biggest benefits of this weapon is that they are VERY CHEAP. Everyone can have these. Maybe the US should buy these from me first though so they can control who gets them . It also creates so loud explosions, that they should not be able to hear, and because you took counter measures and covered your ears for a while, you can hear them shouting to each other, trying to seek help, or see if there are survivors, letting YOU know that, so you can take the survivors out.

You can leave these babies behind, the enemy will not just lose a leg, they will literally blow to pieces. These are good to use for example in area which 'free territory' as in no one is in control. Instead of mining the place every night for the enemy to clear them out in the morning, leave few of these babies there and launch them with remote. Other have to stay more than 350 meters to be safe, and if you adjust the tubes and have yourself the big System configuration, then explosive experts surely must do their work alone, and you can just snipe them out if you so will.

These babies are simple, thus cheap. Kill ratio is big, there is absolutely no chance for the baddies. Main use for these are for defending temporary camp and boobytrapping places. You don't need air support or artillery, so patrol, recon etc groups would love to have it with them. It's better than mines, more effective, and it's lighter to carry.

With Punisher Weapon Systems you make the biggest bang for your buck. This is also controlled fire, so you can improvise if the scenario changes fast. Only one guard can use this whole system easily, and after first strike he can measure the situation and launch another one, or just go with the mines after that and then open fire with his personal weapon, if he really still needs to. This makes one man super dangerous to groups of enemies on a night stroll.

Damn you! Participate! War junkies, weapon guys, explosive fans where are you? You can ask me questions if you want to. If someone wants to do business and keep developig the Sleep Watcher and other babies I have in my mind, I welcome you, let's make money with this baby. We can be 50/50 equal partners and sell this! Come on! I know the drawings suck and look like they were made by 6 year old, but if someone wants to, my friend is professional graphic designer, he can do these for me to make it look better. I have also consulted a person I know who is explosives expert and he says this is possible to make very simple making it cheap, high quality and the most important, unlikely to mailfuction.

I have another weapon too, The Sharpnel Shower, but I'm not going to present it before this gets some discussion.

I know! Guys, this is NOT all! But I'm saving some goodies, I'm not giving out all. The Sleep Watcher is actually meant to used especially for one IMPORTANT thing in ground fighting, but I'm not telling what the bigger picture is, sorry. At least not yet.

I have other guns too, like The Sharpnel Shower, The Demoralizer (my favourite!) and The Shotgun From Hell.

I know the names are ironic, but I'll let the buyer decide what they'll be called .

PWS is all about keeping it simple for the MOST important reason for special ops and other small independent fighting groups, which is that it will not mailfunction! Or that it can be fixed without being professor of every field. PWS is all about light weapons that makes HUGE temporary advantage to YOU. PWS is all about making the other guy feel scared. PWS is YOUR choice!

It's main fuction is close to Bouncing Betty (the weapon used in Vietnam?) though. But it's better and has more functions, more effective and way better, more modern.

Also if you're into other than explosives, this can be used for gas attacks, but it's not preferred since you have to be in chem suits etc too, and with the winds, you never know.

This goes beautifully with mines that explodes when mine detecting gear spots them, with delay of course, mix it up with traditional booby trapping and mining, and you might have the luck of enemy troops starting to attack after few seconds, keep shooting flares with The Sleep Watcher (it has few flares in it, so you can continue safely shooting them without giving out your position) and see how they mangle themselves in the real mine fields. After this you can go with The Shotgun From Hell, special weapon for close jungle fighting or just shoot with rifles if few of them actually penetrate the area.

And as I said, this weapon is very flexible, making it special. One important feature is that if you have to deattach fast and retreat (as this is weapon for small groups, no use for others pretty much), you can have it in default position which is straight up, ammunition ready with those mines (you know what they shoot from planes, mining areas), mining area appx. 50x50 full of small mines that trigger themselves after hitting ground, you're running at this point and enemy penetrating your camp soon, when they get to your camp? BUM BLAM BOOM, full of mines ALL over. This is only one function, easy to use, fast and gives you more time and slows enemy, maybe just enough to save your butt. This is not the main function of this weapon, but it can easily do this too and this should be trained do also if needed, it's effective. It's like dumping huge amount of mines just behind you at last second. The Sleep Watcher is weapon from the deepest pits of human mind!

You haven't even seen the REAL design! It's a beauty, and should be named after beautiful woman.

Of course this won't make other weapons obsolete. It only gives relatively big firepower for short moment. And of course then it has other applications, some of them which I presented earlier in this thread. But it's one choice for small groups operating deep, light to carry, so they necessarily don't have to choose, they can just take it with them. But taken how good it is, cheap, easy to use and effective compared to other weapons, this is good to have around. There is always room for working weapons, and this is one hella cool weapon.

I'd like a huge discussion over this, so we can really work this, and maybe, just maybe I'll introduce you to.. The Demoralizer, which is HUGE!

Pekka - I am not a weapon procurement person. I am fascinated with weapons design, don't get me wrong.

But I decided a long time ago not to go down this route.

Decide for yourself what your new toy would do to a group of civilian refugees blundering about at night.

Or a herd of cattle that are the only food source to the local peasants.

For me, the decision was easy. I stay clear.

Cruddy, I hear you and thank you for your reply. I have decided that I will never try to design a weapon that is used for attacking. The Sleep Watcher is for defending only, you really can't attack with it. You can only secure perimeters and cause trouble to attacking enemies, or enemies near. As this is not a usual mine, these can't be left everywhere. Mines are for that. This can be left and be effective that way only if there is someone using remote launcher, trashing enemies. This is to secure your current position, and as an ambush weapon. This can't be used in cities that much because they're not that effective there and well.. there are other weapons for cities. Civilians are unlikely to wander around to your camp at night, and if they do.. well there's nothing good coming out of that with or without The Sleep Watcher.

So I see this weapon as defensive weapon only. Thus, I have no moral problems. Of course, if some soldier leaves these weapons all around and trigger it to work like mines.. well.. that is bad.

Got spare money?

How's about a different approach? Non-lethal weapon systems? Plenty of need for riot gear.

Anyway, wars, while not good or just, are necessary. I have friends who do this sort of stuff - but then UK armed forces aren't very trigger happy. This fact helps them a lot. Also, weapon systems can, on balance, save lives - if you've got an honest talent in this area, let it shine.

Have a good think, make your decision - AND STICK WITH IT.

Lose 30 kilos (of popups)

Now here is another application for the weapon. Supposedly you use disposable tubes, so you can have few in a bag desinged for the tubes (making it easier to carry them). As you have no time to change the tubes in case of surprising attack, you can also boobytrap your perimeter using the tubes as HUGE pipebombs, attached at the backside of the tree as you can see in this picture.

This should be used as the 'shooting mines', if you have to leave in hurry and you're getting overrun by the enemy. You can set these babies in a tree easily in few minutes, so your night sleep doesn't shorten too much.
You can work these babies like in the Sleep Watcher System, putting these to few trees and connecting them together to the remote launcher. Now you can leave the remote launcher in the ground if you don't want to run with it, hit the red button which is emergency button for fast set up, hit once '10 seconds remaining' hit twice '20 seconds..' etc, so you can set up a fast time bomb. Or you can just carry it and use it as you wish. Your choice.

Now, every man have left the camp area and enemy getting your butt fast, you set these babes off, you can just fill one tube with your hand grenades or whatever is there. Run, push the button and send the camp to hell. One can carry explosives, one can carry gas, so when they enter the area they will get blown and gassed if someone survives. Also, you can set these up with simple trip wire if you so wish. But this is bad if animals etc walks so maybe not. This is just to show ONE application you can do with these. There are still more, this is just one improvised thing, certainly not what it was designed for. But you can do this too.

Cruddy, I don't know about that. I know nothing about non-leathal systems. Plus this is like a little hobby, and I have knowledge about these already so this is easy for me, and I can design these with little effort. Non-leathal weapons would mean completely new area to me, which I'm not familiar with. I'm not super serious with this anyway, but I have designed it for fun (fun to design, not 'kill all people'), and I really believe this has use and demand. And I strongly point out that this is defensive weapon.

Maybe what you could do is work on some hi tech det or detection gear. Military grade stuff is usually heavy and bulky, so there's plenty scope for improvement.

The trick with military designs is to make it robust enough.

What is IMI? I must do more work with my baby, I know it's one helluva weapon. If it only works in reality like it supposed to, meaning that it doesn't get too complicated on the way making it too complicated weapon, thus decreasing its value too much.

I'm not living in Texas, so I can't run any tests with this, let alone get my hands on explosives.. but I can do some tests and design it to the point where it only lacks testing and changes after seeing results. I don't know how people proceed with their designs, but I'd like to make this happen.
