	Looking for information on a telescope I think I'll buy Full PM-box? Change here!

I've been looking to get a telescope for a while, and I found one for cheap. It is a Meade Celestial 127mm, DS-127-EC, electronic motorized base, includes software. Fairly new and been used only 6 times. It's $500. Is this a good deal? How much would this cost new?

MtG,

all i can say is 'wow', my toy for the next couple of years is either the 10 inch Meade Gps or a 20' Dob. The problem I've got is that having a 8' Dob at the moment, I'm very reluctant to spent another 2500 quid on a similar apperture scope, so it's looking like the big Dob and an EQ platform. I just wish I could stretch to the 12', that would make a nice compromise.....

you can read a newspaper with one of those a couple hundred yards away , ....

Aren't there some lightless spots in the docks ? Even in dense cities, the light pollution is much less of a problem in isolated areas, even if they are small.

hi ,

the harbor lights are still to bright , .....

he would have to find a darkspot outside like right in between ashD and ashK , ......

the best for him would be to drive on route 40 and stop half way inbetween kiryat g and beerS , ....

what a bunch of work to look at the stars , ...

tip ; the town of arad is great to sit outside and watch the starts

I love the stars, but several Gs is a bit much for being able to look at the well defined craters of the moon OVER and OVER and OVER and OVER

it'll show great deal more tham that, thats pretty much a research grade telescope, it'll resolve stars in other galaxys
