	Elethar war Support Apolyton

Elethar has declared war on Marijuania, among others, and has sent a number of fleets, consisting of a few military vessels, troop transports, and several dozen gunboats and Q-ships (modified fishing vessels with hidden guns).

The Marijuanian navy has engaged the fleet, here is a map of the current situation. Red is the path of the Elethan fleet, blue is the path of Marijuania's and Stanleystan's navies. Marijuania is nation number 69, Stanleystan is 65.

We are currently shelling their fleet, whilst launching air-attacks and attacks from space.

Marijuanian missile subs, while escorted by H/K subs have moved into position near Elethar, and is preparing to launch strikes on key military and nuclear targets. The airforce is already doing this. Meantime, more H/K subs, and other airforce squadrons have been taking out what remains of the Elethan navy and their gunboats and Q-ships in port.

Strikes have also been taking place on those ships en route to other nations. We have caused some damage, but regret we cannot do more as we must defend our Island.

We give Centralis full permission to use Marijuanian or Stanleystan bases, or any other alliance nation that is being attacked.

The 15-minute deadline issued to the eletharian fleet having passed without response, the Centralis misisle frigate SRC Ortega has been given the honour of firing the first Centralian shot of the war, launching an anti-ship missile from over 100 km away and successfully crippling an Eletharian cruiser. This has been folowed by a merciless bombardment through missile launches from both sea and air, which has broken up the enemy task force and sunk or damaged several dozen vessels. Centralis attack submarines are approaching the remaining ships and preparing to pick them off one by one.

Meanwhile, Centralis bombers have landed in Stanleystan territory and are on their way for their first bombing run against Elethar itself, targetted at it's primary arms factory near Ovimbundaburg. Satellite reconaissance reports that a number of Eletharian miltiary facilities have been destroyed, and the upper echelons of government have begun dispersing through the rainforests. We also have unconfirmed reports that government troops are losing contorl in several tribal regions as opposition groups step up their attacks under cover of the war.

Our airstrikes were aimed at the engines of these vessels, all but 20 are immobile. The remaining 20 are being picked off by anti-ship missiles, though they are making a charge to our fleet, the survivors will be engaged by our gunboats, destroyers and frigates.

The heavier battleships and cruisers are heading closer to the immobile ships, who will have one final opportunity to surrender before being decimated.

Marijuanian special ops have landed in the regions of opposition to the Elethan government, to organise another front in the war. An invasion force is being prepared, and will be sent as soon as the Elethan airforce has been destroyed. Our navy and air force are seeing to that.

We have been bombing targets, including military and nuclear installations, and government headquarters from space using the missile satellites and Marley-class shuttles.

Our intelligence on the ground reports massive devastation in those targets, though civilian deaths are unclear. We apologise for all civilian casualties.

Just before they were all destroyed, Elethan missile launchers fired 12 ICBM's at Marijuania. Our gamma ray detectors on sensory satellites confirmed that they contained nuked. These missiles were destroyed from space, from the air with our anti-missile converted bombers, and from the ground with Marijuania's anti-missile installations. They landed in the sea, our coastguard is beginning a retrieval operation to prevent a possible nuclear disaster.

Task Froce 1, which is made up of 7 carrier battle groups is not heading from the East Apolyton Ocean and is heading towards the area uncovered by the Centralis Navy. Our fighters can provide aircover for all ship in this joint operation. Elethan was commited an act of war against the USJ and nations that we are friendly with. Therefore the USJ was declared war on Elethan. We will put an end to the government that is dealing with terrorist once and for all. Our people cry for justice and justice will be severed to the ones who murdered 17,000 of our people in one violent act.

As for the this terrorist group know as the LIB. Our government will take every action posible to put an end to their opperations in Jackson and in the region of Apolyton. They too will pay for the crimes they have commited against Jackson.

As of now bombing runs are now under way in Elethan. The First and 6th Marine Corps have been activatived. The 8th Armor Corps and the 111th, 76th, 89th Airbrone Divisions have also been called up and will be used in the invasion of Elethan. They will now face the full might of the USJ millitary.

Just out of interest, what is the evidence for this war, for Elethan committing the nuke attack, and for them striking at others. Has any nation actually been invaded by Elethan forces? If so can someone link the post?

In our investigation of the gunboats and Q-ships captured from the two previous engagements with the Elethan navy, we discovered Elethan documents, Elethan plans of attacks, videos of the the Elethan leader, Elethan propaganda against all nations involved, and clear plans of a planned attack and invasion of Marijuania. We analysed the material used to make the ships, and the metals used were mined in Elethar, as was much of the wood. There was official Elethan armed forces documents and insignia, and the weaponry was Elethan.

The crew, upon interrogation were discovered to be Elethan agents.

Of course, the fleet headed to Marijuania and other nations, are attacking and hostile, the Marijuanian navy ensured they made the first hostile move.

"Has any nation actually been invaded by Elethan forces?"

In terms of an actual military invasion a la June 1944, no there hasnt. However, we have evidence for them being behind the attack in Jackson, and the hostile fleets headed towards our nations, and the one engaged by Marijuanian navy, are Elethar's navy.

Task force 1 is now securing the waters around the beachs we intend to land on. So far we have not spoted any Elethar ships in the area but this can change in time. Our Marine forces are about 2 weeks out, while the airbrone troops are ready to deploy with in a day, and the Armor Divisions are about 3 weeks out, but can only land when we have a place to land them. This will be most certainly difficult task as we have to transport men hunderds of miles and do all at sea with no land bases near by. This will be the most difficult assualt our millitary has try to do in all its history.

Thus with in 2 Weeks the main assualt on Elethar will begin.(says about end of the day)

Jackson: We recommend that you base your invading troops in Marijuania, and liase with us. It would probably be wisest to launch a join invasion, we can also accomodate your troops in the interim.

We are in a better position to launch a concerted and maintained attack, due to our closer position, and waters secured by navies. We also know the seas rather well.

Elijah: I have read that thread, and found no evidence of direct military action by Elether. Can you link me to which post has evidence in, in case I skipped it.

No Akirian troops will be engaged unless either their ships enter our waters without permission, or they attack one of our allies first. The first is yet to happen, the second we have seen no evidence for.

A large fleet attacking Marijuania, several of our vessels lost, close to 150 men drowned. The ships were from Elethar, had damning documents, the material and men were all from Elethar, their uniforms were that of Elethar. It was an Elethan naval assault on Marijuania.

We have tracked the current fleet we are battling with, since they left port on Elethar, they have the same insignia, our intercepted communications show that they are a direct assault by the Elethan navy on Marijuania.

Direct assault, (no land invasion admittedly, but only because we militarily prevented it), government sponsored, men in official national service uniform. If that does constitute military action, I dont know what does. We are justified here in defending ourselves against this clear attack. Marijuanian civilian shipping caught by the enemy fleet was engaged by the enemy, had destroyed. Our military ships, in our waters, were fired on first. They are attacking Marijuania, of that, there can be no doubt.

Needless to say, one would suggest that ICBMs, cruise missiles and air strikes launched from that nation's military installations, to us, which we defended, would also constitute an attack. We can send you the military documents, film footage, intelligence reports, info taken directly from captured enemy ships, or we can show you recovered wreckage from Elethan missiles and aeroplanes we shot down over Marijuania, and Marijuanian waters.

Of all nations, why would we possibly have any motives other than self defence, to war against Elethar. You must surely realise that we require solid evidence and enemy attacks to go to war. Those circumstances have clearly been met.

Jackson: We are much closer to them than you, thus can offer shorter supply lines to any military assalt. We also offer greater capacity for land-based long-range air missions, as carriers only have limited capacity relative to land bases.

One can also base more troops on land than at sea, in better conditions, and we can also collaborate in transporting them.

In eastern Apolyton, the Republic of Karakas has quietly moved its carriers and battleships out to sea. A military source confirms that the government is concerned about the double crisis of Sheepsta and Elethar.

Tensions are still high on the New Griffith border. Karakasian fighter jets are flying along the border almost daily, in an unmistakable show of force.

And elijah, a request: in future, if you want Elethar to do soemthign drastic like launching nukes at people, ask me first. It's my nation, and I'd appreciate at least being consulted before somebody else claimed it was flinging nukes around.../OOC

IC: The Eletharian fleet engaged by our vessels has now been almost completely destroyed, and the other fleets heading towards coutnries in our region have been badly battered. A merciless hail of misisles launched from ships and aircraft has destroyed effectively all of the Eletharian heavy ships, and left the lighter ones scattered across the ocean; easy prey for the navies of Centralis, Jackson, and other involved parties.

Meanwhile, in Elethar proper, extensive damage has been done to the Eletharian miltiary by a relentless bombing campaign. Most regions of the country have now been effectively cut off from one another, as the national media broadcasting stations have been destroyed, along with most of the military communication networks. This has left most of the Eletharian army stranded withotu air support or the ability to call for reinforcements; opposition groups, aided by Marijuania, have been able to exploit this for significant gains. In the greatest success so far, the leaders of the tribal guerilla organization Fighters for Ending Eletharian Racism (FEER) have officially anounced their seizure of the primary Eletharian diamond-producing regions in the south-western jungles. Other groups are closing in on the massive coca and poppy fields in the central highlands.

Finally, Centralis intelligence and security services have warned that a wave of terrorism by pro-Elethar groups may soon begin, with the LIB moving it's financial assets around radically and the detection of greatly increased 'chatter' among known terrorist groups. We urge all nations to be on their guard.

Fresh from our victory over the enemy fleet (all but two were destroyed, a cruiser was captured and the troop transport got away and is being chased by a heavy cruiser and 2 frigates), our navy is preparing to assault the secondary island of Elethar. This follows intelligence reports that most of the Elethan air-force has been destroyed, partly by bombing, partly by engagement and partly by covert activity.

The superbattleships MSS Hood and MSS Slash-A, 4 smaller battleships, 20 heavy cruisers, escorted by 30 light cruisers, 4 subs, 24 frigates and 18 destroyers, as well as three aircraft carriers, are currently steaming to various positions off Elethar. A force of gunboats, frigates and cruisers will circle the Island, cutting off any naval escape routes. This action will destroy what remains of the Elethan navy, as these fleet assaults would have wasted their navel resources.

The carriers will protect the fleet while the heavy guns of the battleships and cruisers will unleash a devastating volley of shells, rockets and missiles at the military bases on the Island. On the secondary Island, this should bleed their supplies dry, and well as significantly weakening their military, for an invasion.

We are preparing troops for a land invasion, but consider it tactically prudent for our forces to work with those of another nation, as our number of troops is similar to theirs, although we are better trained, equipped and commanded, we do want a significant advantage.

We consider the secondary Island of high importance, as it will serve to take our many of their military installations, and provide a base of operations for the invasion of Elethar proper. It will also put pressure on their government, and stir the people to a response.

That's about the size of Alecrast's primary battlegroup. We could perhaps reinforce you with a battlegroup approx. a third the size of that, though with transit times, it might be just better if we sit this out unless there is a direct attack towards us, and then later on help restore this nation as we did with ourselves after the attacks, and were close to achieving with North and South Sheepsta during the protectorate periods before the regional court made its unfortunate ruling to turn the land over to a Corrupt Dictator.

Our task force of 7 carrer battle groups are on sceen so you already got the reinforcements.

Our Marine assualt ships are now on scene and the troops are ready to begin their landing on the beaches of Elethar. Our Carriers will provide the marines with air support and are preparing the landing area for the marines.

The Jackson navy, along with the navies of other countries involved would like to annouce that the sea around Elethar are now under our complete controll. Not even a fishing boat will be able to ecape out notice, and if any hostile ships apear they will be destroy before the even get into with sight of our fleet.

It looks as if the days of Elethar are numbered and only a matter of time before we put an end to that government's use of terror.

To Akira:
Elethar is directly responsible for the nuclear attack on our nation. If this is not an act of war then what is? We understand that you pacficists and want to avoid war at all costs, but Jackson along with other nations of Apolyton see that this to great a risk and millitary action must be taken, and the people of Jackson demand and require us to take such action.

Hopefully all will go well and we will not require your assitence in this matter.

I understand. I was simply asking if they had striked first. Pre-emtive strikes are counterproductive IMHO, and I was unsure if they were directly responsible for the Jackson nuclear attack. If they attacked first, then go ahead, and Akiria will gladly help. I was just making sure that if was sorted first... such small things tend to be overlooked when it comes to war

Ah ok! All bases on Marijuania are hereby opened to Akirian troops.

Our naval assualt has thus far met with little resistance, a few air strikes, even an air squadron, but little damage, although a bomb detonated on the aft-deck of the MSS Hood, temporarily disabiling a gun turret due to fire, and killing 3. The damage has been repaired, and all planes shot down by AA fire and missiles, as 2 by our fighters.
