Just for everyone's information, if you see "Trip" (and not Trip- or Trip`) then don't tell him anything or kick him out. Rasbelin registered that name and it will kick anyone offline who tries to use it.

So just to clarify, Trip. You will only ever use Trip- or Trip`, as Rasbelin uses "Trip"?

And Rasbelin does not have the password to enter the ISDG also?

Anyone with the name "Trip" will be disconnected automatically within 20 seconds if they do not identify (which only Rasbelin can do). Thus, I will never be under that name, and anyone who is is not me (unless I post otherwise). He does not have the ISDG password, so it should not be a problem.

Sounds nasty.
Markos can release your nickname as a last resort, if Rasbelin continues to refuse. Perhaps Markos can salvage the old configurations as well.

Btw, if you see someone called Shiber, it's probably not me, since I haven't even registered my nickname yet. I'll post a notice or something once I get my home computer all sorted out and can enter the chatroom. In the meantime, don't give me the password or anything else that's confidential via IRC, even if I ask real nice.

But hang on.... only those of us who can post here know the password to the room, right? So as long as we maintain the secrecy of the password to within this private forum, and all other secrets are discussed only with those who can access the chatroom (ie they know the password), then we can be sure that we are not revealing anything to anyone out-of-team. Right?

IRC chat:

(1) http://www.mirc.com, download and install mIRC.
(2) Open mIRC, in Connect part of Options, Add > Server-apolyton.net, Port-6667. Now, connect!
(3) Apolyton.net main channels:
Apolyton - #apolyton
Apolyton ISDG - #apolytonisdg; password is...welll, you should know the password already.

(Trust me, Melange isn't even worth it as a backup...use Undernet if the Poly IRC goes down.)

Bigfree is setting it up so that you are auto-op'ed when you enter the room. We aren't using the auto-ban thing if your not entering as your proper nick, but you won't get the Op privilages....
