Well, let me ask you both (Sava, Kid). If you have a 3 person family (man, wife, child) making $36,000, do they deserve a tax cut? Will they get one? |
The point is that if Bush wants to shift the tax burden on the poor he should just make them pay more taxes. That's something I don't support, but maybe I wouldn't have been so mad if others weren't getting a tax cut. It would atleast be better than cutting us out a of a tax credit that everyone else is getting. Again, a tax credit is not a tax refund. It is suppose to compensate people for doing something which benefits the economy. Raising kids costs money and the govt benefits, so why the hell do the poor not recieve the credit?
And the wealthier people should pay more taxes, because they get a greater benefit from the govt. Look at the deficits? Who do the deficits benefit besides those who got the tax cuts and credits? The wealthier people do who can buy the bonds and recieve the interest on it do. If anyone should have gotten benefits it should have been the poor, who can't afford to buy bonds. The poor should have gotten double credits.
