	I am unfit for an Ambassadorship Got spare money?

Hola,

I have started this thread to inform the Apolyton team that I am unfit for an ambassadorship at this moment.

This morning I received an e-mail from Togas which named me ambassador to CDG in the very likely event that BigFree becomes Consul.

Unfortunately, RL reasons make this an already heavier burden on my schedule (another reason why I didn't run for Consul myself). First of all I must finish my thesis this month, which is my main worry, and second of all, I already have enough work here on the demo games.

As most of you know, I am the Consul of Foreign Affairs of the Glory of War. At this moment, two of our most prominent members, GhengisFarb and donegeal are absent for RL reasons which has temporarily left us with the minimum necessary of active players. As such, I am forced to conduct the diplomacy of GoW for ALL teams.

As much as I enjoy my job as a diplomat in both of these demogames, there is a limit to what a mere mortal can do. I am afraid that if I were to accept this ambassadorship I will be unable to conduct both of my duties with the same effectiveness. Since I am totally dedicated to both, I do not want to let down either one of the teams as my dedication means I give 110% of my effort but to the limit that my schedule can allow.

Thus, I would first like to ask if there is another member of the Apolyton ISDG team who wishes to become Ambassador to CDG. I will gladly fill the spot until such member is confirmed. If no member is to be found then I will reluctantly accept, as it is my duty as Deputy FA to fill any gaps in the FAM and it is a duty I plan to fulfill.

So, if anyone wants the job, speak up!

Coulda just emailed me back and let me know, no need to post a thread about it.

Anyhow, should BigFree be promoted to Consul, I need a new ambassador for the toughest and most thankless job in Apolyton .... dealing with CDG.

You will want to pull out all of your hair and will be raging for war with these guys after a few weeks in this job. Just ask BigFree how he liked it. But this is THE most important post in the FAM, and it needs to be filled by someone active and patient.

Please post or PM me if you are interested. This assumes, of course, that BigFree ends up as the next Consul. If that doesn't happen, please feel free to point out how stupid and premature I was to suggest to MZ that he take the job.

Hell, you know there wouldn't be a job i'd enjoy any more than pulling CDG's chain

And no, it was not premature, it is always good to plan ahead.

And as I said, if no-one else wants the job, I'll take it. But I just had to ask beforehand as it would alleviate my burden greatly.

Hmm, I could possibly think of taking over another team as well depending on your feelings and my schedule...

I finally solved my connection issues and I'm back to normal as far as the technical aspects of my life are concerned.

As I said in my first post, I will accept the position if no-one else comes up and wants it although ultimately Togas will make the decision and if he feels I'm the man for the job I'll do it, I just didn't want to accept in case there were others interested but after 3 days no one has really showed overwhelming interest.
