We haven't found any enemy cities yet, but we have found several of their units. We've milked all the techs we can out of both the Japanese and the Greeks too. Now we just need to find out when we declare war and what the minister of Offense wants to do

i personally would like a focal point for the enemy to attack before we declare war - hense finding their cities so we can build a city near them and either have the city be the focal point (once we have city walls) or as a place for easy reinforcement of a hills or mountain fortress

btw, once we discover writing or trade, we can cancel the war on the foreign fruit trade

Our people seem to be very strong-willed. We should wait until Monarchy so that we have less to worry with discontent.

It would be nice to have some infrastructure as well between our cities before declaring war.

if the enemy is close by, dont' waste resources on a city walls or infastructure, get monarchy, find cities, starting the war machine accordingly....

I think we should be demanding tribute from the AI's, any funds we get can be put to good use building temples, barracks and a mighty army.

Use the time before we get Poly and Mon to build roads, temples and barracks, then swarm them with Elephants.

We should be able to take out a civ or two before they get Pikes

Wait until we find some cities, but in the meantime, get tribute/science/maps/whatever out of them while we build up our army.

Although I love to catch the AI early in the game i think we need to work on the infrastructure to support an army before we go to war. Now all the troops are either keeping workers quiet or exploring.

The conclusion seems clear. We want to establish our Monarchy (with the attendant advantages) before declaring war on the 2 neighboring civs we have found, and we want to have a viable attacking army to use for war (which we do do not have now).
