The whole point is that such a turmoil in the upper echelons of Nazi Germany would've greatly hampered their ability to operate, and would allow the Allies to create a counterattacking maneuver if we're still talking about the defensive stage, or would've allowed german frontline resistance to be much weakened and less organized.
