He has not been authorized, therefore I think there's little cause for concern for now (unless I'm mistaken and you can view the private forums without being authorized by the team leaders).

No - I don't believe that one can.

However there is concern with the CC (who have authorized him) that he might be a mole for another faction.

With HongHu's original post (inviting Nivoxz N to spy on the other two factions) I had similar concerns - and, of course, info could be supplied by e-mail or through chat rooms, by-passing the Hive Private Forum.

(BTW, I have not divulged to the other 2 factions that the Hive had the "open invitation" to Nivoxz N, just that "one of the others" had but that I had deleted it.

And I guess the question must be asked - of HongHu, prolly - is Nivoxz N a DL of yours, or a friend of yours put up to this by you?

Sorry to be suspicious, but the circumstances - and sequence of posts - are indeed strange

I want to apologize for initiating this thread. I have taken this more jokingly than really seriously. I would like to assure you though, I know nothing about Nivoxz. If I do I wouldn't want to talk to him like that in here would I? But I would like to apologize again. This is not something that I should make a joke of. I came here more of a learning aspect and have started to participate for the people here are so warm hearted and fun. But I guess I still have a lot to learn, including how to treat the forum and so on. I have not contribute a lot on how the game should be played of course, since I view myself so inexperienced. But at least this is an assurance that I myself is not "spying" or anything to get this team to win. I don't have that motivation at all. I came here for the fun really. Please accept this as an explanation. But if you guys are really unsure about my participation, I would do anything to your satisfaction. If you would like me to leave, I would do that. I would still hang out in the general help forum and wish all your guys the best of luck. I would miss you guys of course, because you guys are so full of fun.

I have no problem with you continuing as a full participating player in the game and member of The Hive.

Indeed, my edit appeared so soon after your original post that I doubt if many others read it, (and certainly not Nivoxz N. as Chairman Voltaire has assured us that NN has not - and will not - be authorized to join the Hive. Nor have I divulged to the other 2 factions that Nivoxz N is registered with, that the "espionage invitation" came from the Hive, so no damage has been done as regards this aspect.

With Nivoxz N, it might be just a genuine rookie mistake - as a new registrant to Apolyton maybe he is unaware that he cannot be a member of 3 factions simultaneously in this game.

I have PM'd him and e-mailed him with this info, (no reply yet) but in any event it seems that it is only the Consciousness who have authorized his participation in their faction, so again, no harm may be done there.

This may blow over soon

We tried, but he never responded to an e-mail or a private message. then suddenly his name disappeared from the civlists almost co-incidental with your joining.

hence the belief that you were one and the same (but Archaic never did authorize NN)

MarkG is (was?) off on his military duties, and DanQ never responded to the e-mails or PM's (We assumed that he thought in setting up individual moderators for the private forums that it was adequate. Unfortunately the powers that Voltaire, Drogue et al have are limited.)

The cannot was a "not allowed" rather than a "not possible"

And, yes, I am accredited to every forum, but as the CMN - I don't actually participate in any faction decision-making. My role is to read every word posted (yes, even the spam) to ensure fairness, no cheating, etc etc etc

Occasionally the factions throw a sop to me, such as naming a base after me or devoting a prayer to me, but that's the extent of my factional interaction

And as an 'alter ego" Tassadar is also accredited to the Hive, CyCon and Drone forums (regrettably neither Archaic nor Hercules would accept him to their forums)
