The Parilamentry building of the Sheepsta Fedral Parilament was bombed a short while ago, destroying the complex. it is believed the explosion came from a side entrance possibly delivered by a rental truck.
With the destruction of the entire legislature branch of the government, in what can only be called Black Monday, the President of Sheepsta, has invoked Statutory Act 1.345. In the Act the President has the power to inoke an national emergency and suspend the constituion.
With the military moving in on all the major cities for protection purposes, the President Nick Ginakis declared that the constituion was in fact suspended and that he will rule by decree until the crisis is over.
This a serious blow to democracy in the fledgling republic, just out of a costly court battle and the recent 'protectorate scandal' with the Alecrastian government.
President Ginakis has assured the ublic that democracy will be restored as soon as possible. 'Unfortuantley terrorists have sought to harm our great democratic instituions and serve a blow on our great republic, I will serve in this new capacty, striving for the day when the legistlature branch can be rebuilt.'
Treaty of Mt.Gravatt members have stated that they will back the Green party president and retain their ties to the Sheepstan people in their hour of need.
