This has been discussed briefly elsewhere, but apparently not everyone is aware of the 'problem'. This is evidenced by the relatively low turn out for the AltSp confirmation poll and comments of various members that they didn't see the thread.
There is a glitch with the forums when topped threads displace non-topped threads on page 1. The problem part of it is that the threads that 'fall off' of page 1 do not all appear at the top of page 2. Thus, invisible threads.
A solution to find these invisible threads is to increase the number of threads displayed per page. For instance, add &perpage=50
to the end of the URL for this forum, and you will see the topped threads, plus all others up to 50. This will include the previously 'invisible' threads that got lost between pages 1 and 2 at the default settings (although I think there would now be other threads 'lost' between your new page 1 and 2, but you get the idea).
I hope that this will help people not miss important threads and polls.
