For quite some time I've wanted to add some information to the in-game help - especially regarding the different weapons. The tiresome info:
A unit's {weapon} strength determines its combat strength it attacks.
The more powerful the weapon the stronger the attack.
... is, well, not very informative on the various weapons, IMO!
(Btw, what's wrong with the first sentence?!? Is this just my version of SMAC and SMAX?!?)
So, I made some changes - mainly from the information provided in the FLAVOR.TXT. I'm not done with the project yet, but I feel happy about the result so far 
I would be very interested in any feedback and tips on this!

I've attached the customized HELPX.TXT (in a ZIP-file - this one didn't work, I guess... So see the next post, sorry!)
*IMPORTANT*
Remember to make a backup copy of your original HELPX.TXT before copying this custom-helpx into your Alpha Centauri folder - in case it doesn't work (game crash etc.) or you'd rather keep the original information. This file ONLY works with the Alien Crossfire expansion.

#WEAPONDESC0 through #CHASSISDESC11
and #WEAPONDESC15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 23
