	Unit Creation Remove this text

I just downloaded Harlan Thompson's guide on unit creation and haven't gotten past the first step of creating a unit: How to import a gif or jpg file into photoshop. I'm assuming that this should be a really easy thing to do (man, I always get stumped on the easiest of things...) Anybody with an answer please respond.

You open photoshop and go File->Open and select the image in question... At least I think that's the answer to what you're asking.

Hardy har, John, hardy har har... :-)

I mean that I want to import it into the base file that Harlan provides for the sizing the unit... Photoshop doesn't seem to allow me to do that without a bit of hoop jumping. I downloaded a program called Image2PDF but I still can't get the two on top of each other, or am I not supposed to...? Anyways, I'm abandoning unit creation for the mean time as I got lots else to do with the scenario. Would be really nice to get some nice WWI and WWII civ-specific infantry units though... Have to come back to it later.

By the way: Can we stir up some more interest in your Mars scenario? I think you've got a good thing going there...

Well, that's a case of copying and pasting. I don't use Photoshop, so I wouldn't know the details. You probably want "paste as floating selection" or some such thing.

Perhaps I should try and promote it again on the MP forums - now that 1v1 games have become popular again it might be a little more plausible.

Yeah, PhotoShop's a pain. I have to use it at work occasionally, and I find myself trying to do thing the Paint Shop Pro way. IIRC you have to select the box into which you want to paste it, and then paste it in, but it isn't fun.
I'd recommend using PSP instead. You can download a *cough* trial version from the website.
