The army was semi-screwed on Hoth, since they'd been counting on being able to soften up the rebels with a bombardment -- you gotta think that they weren't considering that they'd need a big army, seeing as how the Executor could have pounded the rebel base into dust. The admiral was an idiot.

Doubtful since they wanted to capture the base intact. Remember, Vader was scouring the galaxy searching for Luke at this point.

You'd think he could just reach out with the force and find him, apparently the power of even the Death Star is insignificant compared to the power of the force. If even Yoda had to hide by that Dark Side cave to hide his presence how did Luke manage it?

Or if Vader couldn't do it, surely the Emperor could.

Obi-wan was just sitting in a hut on Tatooine. I think just being hard to find is enough to escape Vader and the Empoerer. Otherwise, Vader still wouldn't be sent out on the occassional Jedi stomp during the height of the Empire.

Dry was right. The 4th panzer could have taken Stalingrad had it not been diverted. Also, it's a trick question in a way as it has two correct answers. Hoth also led the 4th panzer in an attempt to relieve the 6th army, encircled in Stalingrad. The force was too small and was stopped prior to Hitler diverting it from its mission, iirc 4 miles from the pocket. Hitler refused to allow the 6th to attempt to break out towards Hoth's 4th, or it might have worked. The 6th army perished in Stalingrad or in Stalin's work camps in the years following the war. Very few of the 6th army survived to ever see Germany again.

The rebels should have had people hidden out on the perimeter who could have disabled Imperial walkers in a similar method to Luke's efforts. The sad thing is that Luke did more damage to the Imperials after he was shot down than when he actually had a fighter craft.

You guys got all that info out of the books right? I've been getting some weird images of people estimating the length of the ships by pausing the video and placing a measuring rod against the screen.
