let's say some key cities, I know in summer 1943 if you capture some cities the nazis get a special tech with new units

I say wipe out the Germans and Two main advances. One to Berlin the other to Ploesti.

After we take those key areas it will be a Mop Up!

And of course keep the Americans from getting much of anything in Germany, those Capitalist Pigs!

Attacking towards Berlin and an invasion in Galati to take Ploesti and maybe Belgrade

I think we will have won if we take Berlin and advance to the Adriatic. I think a great victory would be to crush the Germans and capture as many cities as possible before the Americans wipe them out.

Oh, I forgot to mention that we also need to invade Finland this winter if possible (or even earlier) to get rid of this threat to our most northern fronts. Once we have taken Finland, we will have many troops now guarding our cities that will be available for offensives against Germany

For the rest, I think we should try to take most of Germany BEFORE there are Americans on the map! In real life there were borders agreed upon in Jalta, but we don't need to follow these. Just grab as much as we can, and free these people of Capitalism

A strait dash to Berlin and then claiming victory would be too easy (and not very realistic), then again if we try to take every city on the map once victory is assured I think people would lose interest and it would get tedious. I would say we have poll and decide on a number of key cities we have to take before we claim victory. These should be such that Germany and her allies are effectily dismantled with no hope of recovery but doesn't neccisarily have every single city ocupied. (much like when the historical surrender was signed in 1945)

Having a look at a map I would say that in addition to all former Soviet territory and all Polish territory as of 1939 we must take:

Berlin

Bucharest+Ploiesti, Belgrade, Budapest, Vienna, Prague, (so we can install pro-Soviet Government er.. I mean let the people of Eastern Europe take thier place in our Socialist Paradise )
(Copenhagen and Oslo as-well would be even better )

Munich, Nurnberg, Hannover, Hamburg (Destroy the lair of the Facist beast).

This should give all the front commanders plenty to do once we start taking the 3rd Reich apart (In fact since by that time our Economy and Industry will be producing more that we could ever need; us office-bound Politburo members could even have our own pet Fronts to take care of since our advancing front line will be so huge).

I would tend to agree with greeny; it would take forever to take all of the Nazi cities, it would be more realistic to go for the major cities in the on the mainland of Germany and the capitals of the Facist allies.

In the coming winter our attacks should be limited and localized, focusing on the Ukrainian fronts. We need to save our units for the massive pushes wich will happen later, for the Germans can frustrate our creeping attacks farily easily.

If we won't take all the cities, I think we should take all those of the Warsaw Pact, together with key German cities, as listed by Greeny. We could assign different front commanders to different objectives, as for example take at least one Italian city etc by organizing combined attacks.

It seems to me most people here want to wipe out the Germans entirely. I know this is the true communist spirit to free everybody of capitalism, but it could become boring in the end, when we only continue to play to kill some units left here and there, and take some far of cities. Maybe we should consider a new poll.
