I'm just watching a program about Finns living IN Finland, Åland, which inhabitants thinks are Swedes. Well I have a news for them, they are part of Finland, and if they wish to be Swedes, then they can move there no problem!

I just found out watching this, that in fact its only official language is Sweden, and that you can start studying and learning Finnish at 5th grade, and it's optional. WTF? Everyone here in the mainland HAS to study both Swedish and Finnish, because we are bilangual country.
But these dudes think they can do whatever they want? SUre they have autonomy, but they ARE part of Finland, and I will not rest until that place is bombed to pieces. They have grown to be arrogant and they don't give any credit for their autonomy. Even their young males don't have to serve, because they are lazy, sissy and dumb.

I have no problems if the Swedes want to buy it. I'll settle for 5 kronor. Or then they should go for independency and own counry. But as long as they're thinking they're superior and making us feel foreigners in our own lands.. prepare to die!

Cruddy, not really because it's part of Finland, so it would be a police action. I think few carpet bombings would change their attitudes a little bit. It's cool to have different cultures and all that, but when you're actually in the country, you shouldn't have your own secular spots where you trash the 'natives' and keep pushing things that are against finns. Why? Because it's our lands!

These guys are saying they have to visit the mainland every now and then because they can't make friends with these crap people and that they are treated sometimes like they are the worst of all people, even if they haven't done anything. Racism. But in your own lands? Forget that, we need to put our foot down with this one.

Kind of ironic that this one guy was anesthesia doctor, and everytime Ålander wakes up after surgery.. he/she wakes in the hands of a finn.. YES!
Ålanders are the worst of people, nothing but self hating racists and I want to start a massive police action, Guantanamo style.

Besides, there 'amusement park' sucks butts anyway. It doesn't compare to our parks. Oh and the 'punkit' that were lethal? From where? That's right, from Åland.
My worst class trip? That was in Åland, that's right because it sucks so much. Even the breakfast was horrible and the ping ball machine didn't work. It took my money though, it was still good enough from my dirty FInnish hands. And the beach was bad too, water was cold. TV channels? What a joke. It's a backwards place, let's just admit it. No one wants Åland, and that's why Sweden don't want it from us. You can have it for free!
It's like wiggas, white people trying to be all ghetto. Ålanders should be called Ålafinns, because it sounds stupid and that's what they are, Finns trying to be Swedish, and the mix is just horrible. Swedes are good folks don't get me wrong. These people are plain rotten and they smell bad. They can't even speak proper Swedish!

Have a referendum in this place. See if they want to be part of Finland or not.

Then when they don't, wave them goodbye and let Sweden worry about it.

Yes, we need to enforce a police action against Åland to stop their segregation policy. I don't support selling it to Sweden, because Åland has some nice sites for summer cottages. Some actions need to be taken fast before they declare themselves totally independent or join Sweden. We should soon start mobilizing our forces for war against Sweden. We can't trust them because they have invaded us before and have already aquired Sonera, Turun Sinappi, Helsinki's stock exchange, etc, etc. AND they're openly collaborating with Åland. We can't just sit there and watch while they take over our precious fatherland!

I guess the Ålanders think of us in the same way as we'd think of Russians if Finland still was an autonomous grand duchy in the Russian empire, as a threat to our culture and identity... and why do we expect them to like us when most of us loathe them and everything that has to do with the Swedish culture in general?

If they truly wanted to be independent, I have no doubt we'd let them have it in no time. I'm sure of this. Who objects it? I think no one objects that. We should just realize it that they are leeching us, nothing more. If they didn't, then how come they don't want to be independent? They just want all the good parts and someone to pay for the party. I bet like 2 cents of my money will end up supporting those piece of craps.

Also, it's funny since families that move there and have kids.. they can't go to school that has finnish language! Nice one! Here, in the civilized mainlands we have teaching for many languages... russian, swedish all over, english.. you name it and we should have it. Why? Because we follow the UN children rights rules, that kids should be able to go to school with their own language, if there are more kids than few. It's funny how these rules don't apply to this soon to be wastelands country.

Oh yeah, I forgot, if they wanted to have a country of their own, they'd actually have to stop being such racists people, and that's impossible. These folks even don't have army, and they are relieved from serving ours. So they'd have to get one, but because there are like 10 people living in that island, it's not happening. Oh yeah and own economy. I guess too much asked for stupid people like they are. Who they always turn to when they need more money to waste on their parties? THat's right.. they are good at demanding more money. But they don't let us feel welcome there at all but treat us the worst of everyone. Ungrateful people, who are unable to make it their own. Bunch of losers and I hate them. They hate us so we hate them back. But they keep it quiet, because they don't have army and couldn't defend themselves, so they need us to defend them too. Only good Ålander is a dead Ålander. Their private parties are soon to be over when we realize what's going on. I just talked to my dad about this, and he said his old working buddy was there, working for a while but he couldn't make it because a.) he didn't speak Swedish and b.) people were so prejudiced that they didn't want to make friends with him and were outright racist.

And it takes a lot for a finn to say someone is being racist towards him. So it must be a super racists place and I hate it because of that. They can hate us but don't take our money then. As long as they take my money too and never contribute anything to our country ever except giving bad treatment and taking our money, I have every right to hate them. And I will keep doing it.

This is not the same situation as it was with us and Russia when we had autonomy. Czars (?) were good to us but we weren't Rooskies. So we _wanted_ to be independent, and we got it and didn't sweat about it.

These guys might think they're not Finns, not Swedes but Ålanders. Fine. BE Ålanders then for C sake and be independent. The problem is that these guys don't want independence. They couldn't support themselves.

So, because they don't do that, they should be more fair to us, since we give them all the independence possible and special freedoms. They need to be nice to us, even if they hate us. What ever they do, they can't be openly racists and have openly racists policies. They can't have it all. When they support themselves and are independent, then hate us when we don't pay for your hating parties. I just hate them DAMN I hate these greedy sneaky Ålanders!

As to the Ålanders being racist, I don't think we're so clean either - I don't think many Finns crave to have much to do with, for example, immigrated Russians or Estonians, especially if they don't even speak but a few words of Finnish!

And is the money flow to Åland really that big or is it just the same kind of popular myth as the "every refugee is driving around in a BMW" stuff?

Aivo, no.. Swedes are good people and we are good people but those evil Ålanders is what I'm talking about. Also, are we immigrants in Åland? I don't think we are. It is still part of Finland. It's another thing to have immigrants and refugees and what not, and whole different conversation.

Åland is a brilliant place, in as much as Americans and other extremely foreign people will never figure out the weird, yet ingenious Scandinavian spelling.

Öland
Færøerne / Føroyar
Grønland, even though it'd probably be Kalaatlit Nunaat

when things come around, you don't want those Danish territories indepedent. Also, Åland is firmly annexed to Finland, so I doubt any change. At least I don't support the idea of an independent Åland. It's not really something anyone seriously conciders up here.
