Panzer has done a good job in Ghengis's absence. However, until we have elections, Ghengis is the Emperor. (It feels weird having elections for emperor).

wait... is this an election per-se, or is it a confirmation of who people believe that the current emperor is?

I mean, do people vote for the one who can do the best job, or for the one who currently holds the power?

But we have all seen (except GF) the damage no-con votes do in the ISDG.
MZ's post on this was on the mark regarding this

Lets have regular monthly elections

I agree, let's say we take nominations from the 10th to the 15th and start elections on the morning of the 16th which run for exactly 72 hours.

I voted Panzer because I think he should play 2 or 3 more turns until GF is fully briefed to the situation.

After that, I think leasdership should pass to GF and have monthly elections.

Note that this doesn't mean we will get a new leader each month as besides GF and Panze I wonder who else would run... (personally I have no intentions at least in the next two months)

As for a CoC vote, I have said it time and again in the ISDG that changes based on failures are not conducive to team spirit and will lead to personal grudges. Chage should be to reflect on success. A CoC basically says "I think you are doing a shitty job and should be replaced", whereas elections say "I think you are doing a splendid job and deserve to lead us". BIG difference.

I think that, until the election, GF should be emperor, but I'll be the alternate gameplayer. Whoever can play the turn sooner should play (unless we're holding the save).

I was chatting with MasterZen and Unorthodox, and we all think 5 days of nominations is too long, especially for the small group that we have.

We agree that 2 days of nominations and 3 days of election is good.
