Saving Scenarios Browse Apolyton AD-FREE

I just made a map in the map editor and when i was done i closed the cheat window and played for a few hours. When i went to load next time i realized the game won't let me do that. I realize the name of the saved scenario must be the same as the name in the scenario.txt, however, i don't know what i saved the scenario as. So can i change the scenario name manually or did i just waste a few hours of my life creating and playing this damn game? If there is anything else i should know please inform me because i am frustrated to no end with this game.

Full PM-box? Change here!

Open the saved game file in a text editor and you can see the name under which you saved it near the beginning of the file .

OK, got that. Now my problem is that i cannot seem to get the scenario to show up in the scenario directory. I have the packlist.txt right because my name and description shows up when i open start scenario. Then, when i hit ok nothing is in the next screen. This is where my scenario should be. I think i have the scenario.txt correct because it has two lines, both of which i named the exact same as my scenario. So why does my game not show up for available scenarios?

Do you have the correct number in packlist.txt, so as to specify that there are more than 0 scenarios in the pack?

I have it entered as one. is my scenario that i placed in the scenario directory the wrong file type? I moved my saved game into the same folder as the scenario.txt, and it is the same as what i named it in the scenario.txt. Why does my game not show up?

The saved game is called savegame.csg (the filename, not the internal name)?
If that's not the problem, post the contents of scenario.txt and packlist.txt here and I'll see if I can see anything that might be the problem...

I must be missing a file or something. Can i use the game that i played and saved as the scenario, because i think all i did was change that saved game to the scenario name. Heres the packlist.txt and scenario.txt.
packlist.txt says: My Scenarios
Good Scenario
1
i thin thats right because it shows up when i go to start scenario. Then i hit ok and nothing comes up where my game should be. This should also show what i put in the scenario.txt, right? The scenario.txt should have two lines which i named te same: Good Scenario
Good Scenario
Do i need a file in the same folder as the scenario.txt that is the actual game file? That is what i have tried and it doesn't seem to work. Maybe my scenario file is not right somehow. what do you think?

No, you shouldn't need any files besides the packlist.txt and scenario.txt just to make the scenario appear... and your files look fine. The next thing I can think to ask is where exactly are these files?

What happens when you click OK, do you just get an empty "Scenario picker" window? Does the example scenario work?

Put an end to popups!

Yes, i get an empty scenario picker. There are two screens, the first one shows up, but the second one is empty. The files are in the scenarios folder. Inside scenarios folder there is an example folder. Inside the example folder i have the packlist.txt and another folder named scen0000. Inside that folder is my scenario.txt.

When you say in the scenarios folder, presumably you do mean the scenarios folder in the main ctp directory, not ctp_program\ctp\save\scen - it's a stretch, but I'm running out of ideas.

Beyond that, I can only offer fairly desperate measures - you might try reinstalling CTP, or possibly install one of the mods that are available, and see whether that shows up properly.

Another thing to attempt is starting from scratch and making a whole other scenario, and seeing whether that works.

Also, install the v1.25 hack if you haven't already - that might concievably make a difference.
