I just got word today that I earned a major pass on the economics methods exam, which means I am now officially a candidate for the PhD (and most importantly eligible for funding).

So anyway, in case you've been wondering, that's where I've been for the past month or so. And now I'm back!

I haven't graduated yet, just passed the first major hurdle. I have at least three more years of this to go. Next year around this time I'll probably be sitting down for my field exam. So far I'm strongly considering macroeconomics as my major field.
